03:35 djerius I'm trying to perform a query of metacpan using a regexp filter (I'm looking for all files ending in  .xs) but I get a "No filter registered for [regexp]" error from the MetaCPAN explorer; here's what I'm sending it: http://pastie.org/8958014.  My first foray into ES; is this the correct syntax?
03:35 dipsy [ #8958014 - Pastie ]
03:37 oalders djerius: which version of ES added regex filters?
03:38 djerius oalders: I'm using the current guide at elasticsearch.org; it looks like 1.x
03:38 oalders i think we're on 0.20.1
03:39 rwstauner i wondered the same
03:39 oalders looks like a great feature, though
03:39 djerius darn; any way of matching a suffix?
03:40 rwstauner djerius: you can find xs files with a mime type, i'm trying to find where that example was
03:43 rwstauner looks like regexp filter was added a little later, maybe 0.22
03:43 rwstauner which is essentially 0.90
03:45 djerius rwstauner: thanks for the tip.  I just tried "term": { "mime": "text/x-c" } and got what I needed.  yay!
03:45 rwstauner yeah, that was it
03:45 rwstauner i thought that was in the examples repo but i don't see it
03:45 rwstauner i remember somebody making a blog post or something out of that
03:48 djerius I'll tidy my code and submit it as an example

17:50 ether this doesn't look right: https://metacpan.org/release/CJM/Pod-Loom-0.07
17:50 dipsy [ Pod-Loom-0.07 - Weave pseudo-POD into real POD - metacpan.org ]
17:50 ether no modules nor documentation listed
17:56 ranguard anyone remember where the doc on the hardware spec for MC is, I thought it was in the cpan-api wiki - am I being blind?

18:14 rwstauner ether: it dies horribly with a simple "Nested processed encoding."
18:14 rwstauner s/it/the indexer/
18:15 rwstauner the only /^=encoding/ i see is in a test script, and there *are* multiple, so that may be confusing it
18:15 rwstauner of course it really doesn't need to be parsing the t files for pod (or at least not ultimately dying if it fails)
18:17 rwstauner debug log doesn't help
18:26 rwstauner ether: bug filed https://github.com/CPAN-API/cpan-api/issues/307
18:26 dipsy [ Indexer fails on Pod-Loom-0.07 · Issue #307 · CPAN-API/cpan-api · GitHub ]
18:26 * rwstauner goes back to less fun things
18:26 ether :/
18:26 ether thanks :)
18:27 rwstauner might just need a try {} block around pod-parser or something, but i don't have the time to dig that deep atm

21:18 ether t/ stuff should be totally ignored by metacpan, I'd ahve thought
21:18 ether what things might one want to parse in there?
21:18 ether there's no docs or package names
21:19 ether and it's good to stay out anyway because of weird sample data, as is the case here
