06:52 kentnl Reason: Error reading from remote server
06:52 haarg repeatable?
06:52 kentnl Page just doesn't even load
06:52 kentnl its just sitting there then timing out :/
06:52 haarg which page?
06:52 kentnl https://metacpan.org/search?q=Mouse&size=500
06:53 dipsy which page is that?
06:53 kentnl size=10 has the same problem
06:53 kentnl wait, 10 just repsonded eventually
06:54 kentnl hm, problem seems to have just stopped occurring
06:54 * kentnl had 2 minutes of sitting there waiting for pages to load, and now it works

06:58 kentnl could have even been ISP Transproxy issue.
06:58 haarg uh
06:58 haarg https?
06:58 dipsy https is implemented by suitably useful software, which deals with this mythical "good understanding of PKI"
06:59 haarg if your isp is getting in the way of https you have much larger issues
06:59 kentnl oh. True. I forget about that. I just had a few other similar weird issues on other pages in a similar timeframe and figured they might be related.
07:01 * kentnl has been having issues with $ISP's native IPv6 implementation causing certain HTTPS resources to just fubar ( ie: facebook images just dont load, https downloads just die randomly )
07:01 kentnl I just switched back to a 6to4 gateway instead because it was that bad :(

23:29 superluser Is there a log for tidyall?  It's failing my code but not saying what's wrong.
23:32 trs I think you can run tidyall -g to see.  but I hate tidyall. ;)
23:34 superluser Oh, good :).  Run it from where?
23:36 trs the command line...
23:36 grantm https://metacpan.org/ not responding for me
23:36 superluser bash: tidyall: command not found
23:36 superluser I'm running the tests on metacpan-developer, using bin/prove t
23:36 trs carton exec tidyall maybe
23:37 trs see how the git hook is running it.
23:37 trs I have tidyall installed globally.
23:37 grantm "Error 503 backend read error"
23:38 neilb joined #metacpan
23:38 grantm got some (slow) responses now
23:39 superluser carton exec says carton isn't installed; grep tidyall .git/hooks shows nothing
23:40 trs superluser: grep -r
23:40 trs and the git hooks use Code::TidyAll... sorry, I forgot they didn't shell out.
23:40 superluser sorry, it was .git/hooks/*
23:41 trs ./bin/carton?
23:41 superluser ah ok, TidyAll is there, should've used -i :P
23:41 trs I'm familiar with carton, but I'm not familiar with how folks here have the metacpan repos setup with it.
23:42 trs it seems like it's setup Extra Special
23:42 superluser yeah
23:42 trs judging by the wrappers in bin/
23:42 superluser I really appreciate your help, I think I can figure it out from here
23:43 superluser I was hoping there was an easy way :)
