14:15 haarg how would we feel about updating our deployment setup to use Gazelle instead of Starman?
14:17 ranguard haarg: I'd feel great if it was useing Server::Starter :)
14:17 haarg well, that's a separate issue, but yeah
14:18 ranguard true, just a more pressing one imho
14:18 * ranguard doesn't feel religious about one or the other, just happen to have used starman more

20:14 theory The “provides” object for HTTP-Message looks a bit weird: http://api.metacpan.org/v0/release/HTTP-Message
20:16 theory Noticed that HTTP::Headers::Util was missing; is it because there is no “provides” block in the META.yml?
20:16 theory ether: Looks like the distro has some unauthorized modules: https://metacpan.org/release/HTTP-Message
20:23 Ptolemarch joined #metacpan
20:23 ether theory: that 'provides' is metacpan's metadata, which is a different format than CPAN::Meta::Spec
20:23 ether and yeah, I'm missing some perms.. :/  in the process of getting that fixed up
21:00 theory ether: Great. Need to figure out how to fix my build to work around this.
21:00 ether what's the issue?
21:00 ether do you have something depping specifically on one of the things I don't have perms on yet?
21:00 ether I'll say something here when I get the perms sorted - hopefully today
21:00 * ether will poke mst again :)
21:01 theory rpmcpan looks up dependencies by the MetaCPAN API, and it can’t find HTTP::Headers::Util, which is unknown to MetaCPAN.
21:02 theory Specifially: http://api.metacpan.org/v0/module/HTTP::Headers::Util
21:03 neilb_ joined #metacpan
21:05 mst ok wtf is LWWWP
21:07 mst ether: any chance you could /msg me to explain wtf's going on? :)
21:07 mst HTTP::Headers::Util is first-come GAAS
21:07 mst HTTP::Headers is modulelist LWWWP
21:07 mst I hadn't even seen LWWWP before
21:08 ether I don't know who set up the LWWWP account
21:08 ether I assumed it was "official"
21:08 ether but if you don't know, then damned if I know
21:09 ether HTTP::Headers::Util is definitely known to pause:   HTTP::Headers::Util                6.03  G/GA/GAAS/HTTP-Message-6.06.tar.gz
21:09 mst well GAAS seems to've transferred most of his first-comes to LWWWP
21:09 mst I think he just missed a few
21:10 mst gaah, or more than a few
21:10 mst I bet he transferred his modulelist regs and forgot the first-comes
21:10 ether damned modulelist :)
21:11 ether I'm guessing the MetaCPAN API is getting confused somehow by modules being indexed into multiple dist versions, but it's got to be able to deal with that - it's not uncommon.
21:13 ether scheduling HTTP-Message-6.07 for reindexing
21:13 ether theory: we'll poke metacpan in an hour when that's complete
21:14 theory ether: Thanks.

21:57 ether theory: indexing complete and successful
21:57 ether (could someone please do a metacpan-reindex of HTTP-Message please? thanks!)
21:57 * theory tries again…
21:57 ether mst: thanks for fixing that up
21:58 theory ether: Still a 404: http://api.metacpan.org/v0/module/HTTP::Headers::Util
21:59 ether *nod*, we need metacpan intervention now
21:59 mst theory: metacpan hasn't reindexed it yet
21:59 theory oh
21:59 mst this is why my build tools use the PAUSE index
21:59 theory Thought that’s what you meant, sorry.
22:00 mst nah, what was PAUSE being fixed
22:00 theory check
22:00 ether I think there's been talk of adding a button on metacpan to do the reindexing, perhaps visible only to the author, but ENOTUITS
22:01 theory I need to add that feature to PGXN. Same challenge with TUITs.
22:09 * leont should invent a tuit borrowing scheme, current state of global economics has given me faith in debt, just need to become too-big-to-fail fast enough.
22:09 mst leont: yeah, but global economics approach to that mostly seems to be 'enable --notest'
22:17 oalders ether,theory: i re-indexed HTTP::Message but hasn't changed anything
22:18 theory oalders: http://api.metacpan.org/v0/module/HTTP::Headers::Util is no longer a 404.
22:18 theory Which fixes my problem.
22:18 oalders ah, ok. still seeing unauthorized files in that dist
22:18 ether I'm not
22:18 ether force-reload? :)
22:18 oalders heh
22:18 oalders ok, it's fixed. ignore me
22:19 ether ignored!
22:19 ether (he didn't think this through.. now he can't say "ok please unignore me now")
22:19 mst oalders: http://trout.me.uk/really.jpg
22:20 oalders :D
22:23 ether oalders: re *.pod files, this didn't come up in Berlin to any meaningful degree, so I guess we should hash it out on cpan-workers
