22:12 haarg kentnl: almost all of the things you've pointed out on that ticket won't block page rendering

22:13 haarg list_as_json is done after the page is ready, and is async anyway.  the activity graph is an image and won't block anything.
22:15 haarg obviously the caching should be improved in some other areas, but it seems like if you are seeing long load times it would have to be from the initial page, the css, or the js
