15:12 ilmari have you noticed any more traffic to v1 since BinGOs switched the GumbyNET links?
16:07 Relequestual joined #metacpan
16:31 oalders ilmari: good question. i don't think anyone is actively monitoring that.
16:31 oalders guess we could check google analytics

17:55 ilmari it would be nice to be able to remove favourites from /account/favourite/list
17:55 ilmari especially when the dist no longer exists
17:56 ilmari s/ou/o/ # *mutter*
17:58 ilmari e.g. https://metacpan.org/author/ILMARI lists LEONT/File-Slurp-Sane, which no longer exists
17:59 ilmari ah, that's already reported: https://github.com/metacpan/metacpan-web/issues/1742

19:16 ranguard oalders: fastly stats will give you a very rough number of requests
19:16 oalders was wondering about that
19:17 ranguard https://www.evernote.com/shard/s54/sh/0b8af89e-dec3-47a9-81ab-0278533827a5/816c40ea39496d28d7437042c6e267dc
19:17 ranguard that's v1.mc.org
19:19 oalders i wonder how much of that traffic is just [Tux] ;)
19:19 ranguard not the api
19:20 ranguard https://www.evernote.com/shard/s54/sh/0b8af89e-dec3-47a9-81ab-0278533827a5/816c40ea39496d28d7437042c6e267dc is fastapi
19:22 oalders that looks like the same graph
19:23 ilmari especially since it's the same URL
19:25 ranguard doh
19:27 ranguard try https://www.evernote.com/shard/s54/sh/e62d52b7-2d70-4ed8-a7f9-ec45c5b776a7/a682fa47203ac70a3b8316d74693e686
19:27 ranguard that will include requests made from v1.mc.org (we now eat our own dog food in using the API via fastly rather than locally)

22:07 jdv79 your routing all api calls external?
22:07 jdv79 *you're
22:16 jdv79 also, is it on purpose that the urls are starting with v1 now?
22:17 jdv79 or is that just a GumbyPAN quirk
22:23 oalders ranguard can speak to the routing
22:23 oalders URLs are temporarily starting with v1
22:23 oalders URLs on the v1 machines, anyway
22:24 oalders at least until the end of 2016
22:24 oalders v1 machines have the up to date Elasticsearch
22:49 jdv79 oh cool

23:01 punter this URL got cached on my browser (with XML::MyXML version 0.9400) and I didn't get the new version (0.9401) when I did a simple re-visit of this page with my browser, until I hit SHIFT+refresh. Is this expected behaviour? I think most sites' HTML files check for newer versions when you visit those URLs... only image files etc aren't checked on each visit
23:02 punter looks a bit like a bug
23:02 punter (I hope you can understand what I said...)
23:02 punter https://metacpan.org/pod/XML::MyXML
23:02 punter This URL
23:03 punter I finished what I was saying
23:37 jdv79 sounds like normal http caching
23:37 jdv79 do you mean you hit ctrl-r?
23:39 neilb_ joined #metacpan
23:47 jberger so I added a new ++ and it isn't showing up in my favorites, is this a known thing?
23:54 punter jdv79, no, i didn't just hit ctrl-r, i followed a link from search results (searched for "MyXML")
23:55 punter jdv79, I didn't know it's standard practice for websites to serve outdated html pages
23:55 punter not serve, but for browsers to see outdated html pages
