05:16 Exodist I want to write a slack integration that provides slack with the notifications that specific modules have been uploaded. How do the IRC bots do it?
05:29 Exodist looks like http://api.metacpan.org/v0/release/_search?fields=name,status,date&sort=date:desc&size=100 gets me the info I need, can I filter it down to just release.name =~ /^Test2.*/ or do I have to do that on the application side?
07:07 mickey Exodist: you probably should use the API to reduce the data set you're querying, a POST with ES syntaxt can give you what you're after, but I recomment using our client (MetaCPAN::Client) from the application.
07:08 mickey my $releases = $mcpan->release( { name => 'Test2*' }, { fields => [ qw< name statu\
07:08 mickey s date > ] } );
07:09 mickey the caveat is you should handle sorting on your end, as this is using a scroller where sorting is disabled for efficiency, your data set should be small enough for that to be cheap

16:54 trs What's the deal with v1 indexing issues?
16:54 trs (i.e. should I report individual problems? if so, where?)
16:59 haarg you can start by mentioning them here
16:59 haarg filing issues is fine as well, although if they are all the same problem that might get annoying
17:00 trs https://metacpan.org/release/App-Sqitch exists but https://v1.metacpan.org/release/App-Sqitch doesn't
17:01 trs note that it is found by: https://v1.metacpan.org/search?q=sqitch&search_type=modules
17:01 trs but clicking the release link is broken
17:01 trs or any of the doc links

18:07 ranguard mickey: is the indexing master ^^ :)
18:25 mickey easy one - missing 'latest' bit - fixed.
18:26 ranguard mickey: and that's the issue your working on a 'checker' script for?
18:26 mickey yes!
18:26 ranguard mickey: ++ # indexing master
18:26 mickey that's one of the leftovers :)
18:27 mickey ranguard: if you want to push it forward - I need this one in: https://github.com/metacpan/metacpan-api/pull/510
18:28 mickey the test failure is not related... looks like some http connection that was temp. unavailable
18:29 mickey oh wait, it's something else...
18:30 mickey it's the same test in both failures... login/openid... not sure why that one suddenly raised its head
18:30 ranguard heh, I was just looking how to overwrite the merge
18:30 ranguard let me know
18:30 mickey but it's still unrelated to my changes

18:32 mickey re login: what's the plan for fixing that issue?
18:32 mickey oalders: ^^
18:33 oalders mickey: you mean github login?
18:33 mickey yeah
18:33 oalders we just need to create a new OAuth app for v1. it's on my list. i'll do it this evening
18:34 mickey cool, oalders++
18:34 mickey that will resolve some of the open issues
18:34 oalders it's just me being sloooooooooow
18:34 ranguard nice
18:35 * ranguard kicks oalders up the proverbial to motivate him :)
18:35 oalders oof
18:35 oalders i'm going to take the kids to the movies now, but i'll do the GH setup tonight
18:36 * ranguard could guess at it (happen to be there now) but I'd be guessing rather than knowing what I'm doing :)
18:37 mickey cheers, and if you get bored, that openid test needs some a check... passes on my vm but throws some warnings for deprecated methods from some module we use
18:37 mickey not sure why it failed on travis
18:38 oalders trs: were you able to release that module?
18:39 oalders i think it was https://metacpan.org/pod/Test::OpenID::Server
18:40 oalders mickey: a new release should solve those warnings
18:41 oalders https://github.com/bestpractical/test-openid-server/pull/1
18:43 trs oalders: whoops, I never saw sartak's response.
18:46 oalders then i'm glad we had this conversation :)
18:53 trs Hmm. I won't be able to do a quick release from work now, but I'll look at it later from home.
18:53 trs I want to release Test-OpenID-Consumer along with it, to switch from the bad dep LWPx::ParanoidAgent to LWP::UserAgent::Paranoid.
18:54 trs (which I noticed because there's no OpenSSL on this work box)
