17:46 ranguard metacpan.org, cpan.metacpan.org and fastapi.metacpan.org all on ipV6 - give or take DNS updating - testing welcomed
17:47 alh ranguard++
17:48 ranguard fastly++ # I just updated some DNS :)

18:35 BinGOs according to netstat I have been connecting to metacpan.org using ipv6
19:09 ranguard BinGOs: cheers
19:14 ranguard now, I could get HTTP/2 enabled, but seems to be a really mixed bag about how useful/harmful just turning it on can be
19:14 ranguard apparently end user testing is recommended - which then makes it a faff!
19:28 perigrin so here's a fun one
19:28 perigrin https://metacpan.org/pod/release/JROCKWAY/__-0.01/lib/__.pm doesn't show up on https://metacpan.org/author/JROCKWAY
19:28 * perigrin blames jrockway.
19:31 Grinnz it's not considered indexed, probably because a module named __ doesn't work anywhere
19:32 perigrin I'm pretty sure that https://metacpan.org/source/JROCKWAY/__-0.01/t/01-does-it-work.t says it does.
19:32 perigrin :)
19:34 Grinnz i mean in PAUSE
19:35 Grinnz i'm pretty sure the first character of a whole module name must be alphabetic
19:35 Grinnz you'll notice there are no modules starting with _ on https://cpan.metacpan.org/modules/02packages.details.txt
19:35 perigrin shows up http://search.cpan.org/~jrockway/
19:35 Grinnz search.cpan.org doesn't care what pause indexes.
19:35 perigrin Ah
19:36 perigrin carton was able to install it
19:37 Grinnz cpanm also has a fallback for non-indexed modules
19:38 perigrin weirdly it looks like cpanm found it via metacpan
19:38 perigrin ! Finding __ on cpanmetadb failed.
19:38 perigrin Searching __ () on metacpan ...
19:38 perigrin --> Working on __
19:39 Grinnz it uses a file search IIRC, which is different from the indexed module search
19:45 BinGOs that dist appears to confuse CPAN::DistnameInfo
19:50 perigrin it probably confuses a lot of things
