05:30 mickey hmm... is this for the api? i can't recreate it
05:36 mickey oh, from the error I see you still have the old index and its sharing the 'cpan' alias ('Alias [cpan] has more than one indices associated with it [[cpan_v1_01, cpan_v1]]...)
05:36 mickey try: bin/metacpan mapping --delete_index cpan_v1

18:44 oalders mickey++
18:44 mickey oalders++ :)
18:44 oalders It took me *years* to get that into master.  :)
18:45 oalders Next we can look at including maint and co-maint perms on the module pages.
18:45 mickey I also think we should add 02packages
18:46 Grinnz what timing, i just made http://cpanmeta.grinnz.com/ :P
18:48 mickey Grinnz: nice
18:49 mickey oalders: did you set a cron for the script run?
18:49 Grinnz seeing the perms on module pages would be great
18:49 oalders We could link to that as well. :)
18:50 oalders mickey: I did not.  That'll be next on my list.  Oops
18:50 Grinnz heh, it's unfortunately not very linkable, i'm very noob at the bootstrap javascript stuff so havent put much effort into that
18:51 oalders :)
18:51 mickey cool, once it's continuously populated/updated I'll add support for it to the client as well
18:55 mickey oh, i see something that may need to be fixed
18:55 oalders ?
18:55 oalders also, how often does 06perms get updated?
18:55 mickey the indexing code in the script only adds/updates ... but doesn't delete
18:56 oalders hmmm
18:56 oalders do we have prior art for that?
18:58 mickey you could clear it first... i'm guessing it's not a long process
18:58 mickey it's a stright forward file to index... should be quick
18:59 oalders i can test that out.  would be weird to have X seconds where the type is empty
18:59 oalders maybe i'll just iterate over the latest version and remove stuff that no longer exists
19:00 mickey true...
19:01 ranguard another type? - we didn't go for a seperate index?
19:01 mickey well, IIRC the file is ordered... so you can query by prefix chunks and remove as you go
19:02 mickey ranguard: a separate index/type is good for keeping history... at the expense of disk space, i guess
19:03 Grinnz it's ordered, but case sensitively
19:03 ranguard mickey: I thought we were going to try move away from types and over to seperate indexes
19:03 mickey ranguard: don't you remember we tried that (failed fast :))
19:03 Grinnz AZ -> A_ -> Aa
19:04 ranguard mickey: yea, but thought going forward not adding more to break would be nice :)
19:04 ranguard no matter
19:05 mickey there was (yet another) ES limitation to doing it
19:05 ranguard ahh
19:06 mickey we needed to share an alias between indices and that only worked for POST requests... something stupid like that
19:06 ranguard we should talk about ES 5 as well at some point (my understanding is 2.4->5 isn't _that_ bad
19:07 mickey didn't they drop the concept of types? I thought we had a quick chat about it before...
19:07 Grinnz nope, its still there
19:08 Grinnz they introduce types as great and then in the tips & tricks page they discourage using them :P
19:09 mickey going through another ES upgrade... bahh, we should consider alternatives :)
19:22 ranguard heh
19:54 ranguard has anyone used zenhub?
19:55 ranguard wondering if worth playing with / if we should have a go :)
