08:30 namedrisk I was going thru the documents and everything and was wondering if there is a instruction for creating dropdown boxes like we have for creating input's form... <select.. then we have the inner options
08:32 namedrisk <%= input 'test', type => 'text' %> but instead for select and options within the select
08:50 yko i think, there's no instructions of creating <select> because there's no appropriate helper to create <select> :p
08:51 namedrisk yko thanks for the answer i toguht so ... but just wanted to confirm since i saw somewhere the docs were still being worked out ;)
08:51 dotan joined #mojo
08:52 yko no, i checked code, there's no appropriate helper yet
08:52 yko you can use helper 'tag' and some loop to create 'select' and 'option' tags, but the best way is to write own helper that creates 'select' tag and publish it, so it can be implemented in mojolicious :D
08:53 namedrisk mmmm sounds interesting i will take a look at it :)
08:53 namedrisk thx
08:54 yko perhaps, you whant to look at native helper's code (input, etc) at http://github.com/kraih/mojo/blob/master/lib/Mojolicious/Plugin/TagHelpers.pm#L34

10:56 marcus hmm
10:56 marcus wonder if it would be feasible to write a http log analytics tool with couchdb and mojolicious
10:57 sri impossible!
10:58 marcus I've no idea why there are no modern http log analytics tools
10:59 marcus seems like people still use awstats and analog

14:11 sri ;p
14:12 marcus you mean while everybody are on vacation
14:12 marcus I find it amusing that he's pissed off that someone ripped of his *port* of a ruby framework

14:15 sri so it's the right time to start poking around a bit
14:17 marcus it's a good idea
14:17 marcus sri: did you see this nugget from #perl ?

14:22 sri Oo
14:23 sri websockets in a micro framework is a mojolicious exclusive atm.

14:28 sri more beer!
14:29 sri the cultural differences between perl5 and perl6 folks are interesting
14:30 sri perl5 people usually enjoy a good flamewar

14:33 sri maybe perl5 makes people bitter? :)

14:55 ashleydev is there something comparable to rvm in the perl world?  I want to install modules to a local git project directory, and when I `cd` into that dir my env auto knows to use the locally installed modules in that dir...
14:59 yko perl -I./dirwithyourmodules yourscript.pl || use lib './dirwithyourmodules'
15:00 ashleydev yeah... I know about the manual way
15:01 ashleydev it just nice to be able to do something like `cpanm --install=./here/ --remember_when_im_here=./`
15:01 sri http://twitter.com/#search?q=%23perl # holy retweet recursion batman :o
15:01 garfield [ Twitter ]
15:02 yko at least mojolicious projects always use lib 'FindBin::Bin/lib'
15:02 yko so when i deploy some work under cgi, i put all deps into lib
15:04 yko ashleydev: mb try cpanm -l~/project/lib Module::To::Be::Installed
15:04 yko or you want cpanm to remember where to install modules, when you are at some dir?
15:06 ashleydev nice, i guess rtfm helps there (didn't know about `cpanm -l`)
15:06 ashleydev but i guess I was going for one more...
15:06 ashleydev rvm makes you put something at the end of your .<shell>rc file
15:06 ashleydev (for me .bashrc)
15:07 ashleydev and then when you are in your project dir, it knows about the local::lib install kind of thing (it also knows which ruby you wanna use too)
15:08 ashleydev cpanm -l and cpanm -L seem to get you most of the way there, which is Great to know...
15:12 yko something like that

16:16 sri to demonstrate how to use POE in mojolicious
16:23 yko yes
16:24 * yko waiting somebody to write it.
16:24 yko :))
16:24 yko Why there's only 24h in a day :(
