01:41 dku "is mojo a perl clone"?
01:47 alnewkirk hi all
01:47 alnewkirk is that a serious question? ... I must be sleepy
01:49 perlrocks Twitter: "@fsfiii mojo is a runtime environment for web frameworks written in #perl (still Perl code). #mojolicious is a web framework built on mojo." --dkulchenko http://twitter.com/dkulchenko/status/53997378683936768

02:13 sri he was running sinatra in dev mode and complaining about templates getting reloaded from disk
02:14 sri i think someone needs to complain about redis being unsecure out of the box now ;p

10:03 tempire huh
10:03 tempire Mojo::DOM doesn't allow for the .class syntax?
10:05 sri use the pod luke
10:09 tempire So the *= is the 'right way', I guess.
10:19 sri ?
10:21 sri ok, there might be pod missing :o

10:32 tempire bug!
10:40 sri tempire: invalid selector as far as i can see
10:40 tempire how do you figure?
10:40 sri it makes no sense for starters
10:41 sri nobody would ever use it
10:41 tempire Why not?
10:41 tempire I would...if you want to check that an element exists with a specific tag, id, & class...
10:42 sri id is unique, you've got your element already
10:42 tempire Yeah, but if you want to make sure that that id has a specific class for testing, it's relevant.
10:43 sri do you have a spec link?
10:44 tempire I'll look it up tomorrow.  Seems obvious to me, though.
10:44 sri not from a css perspective
10:44 sri it was not made for testing
10:46 tempire understood, however, when I say 'obvious', I mean I would expect them all to work together, since they work separately and are not mutually exclusive...and the given that it works in jquery.

11:49 marcus sri: did you manage to update the firmware of your vertex drive?
11:51 marcus seems I have to upgrade to 1.32 to get it to stop crashing when resuming from hibernation
12:18 sri marcus: works fine here with the original firmware
12:21 marcus sri: maybe yours came with a newer firmware

14:10 JonChisciotte Hi, I have a problem rendering special characters inside browser, I cannot understand why but it's like utf8 chars are managed like latin1. Here is the code I'm using and the error I got: http://paste.pocoo.org/show/364410/
14:10 JonChisciotte Everything should  already be managed as utf8, but no encoding type seems to be added inside http headers. Don't know what to do/debug, may you help me? Thank you.
14:13 sri umm
14:13 sri json is always utf8
14:14 sri you're obviously double encoding
14:14 sri turn your bytes into characters before passing them to the json serializer
14:15 JonChisciotte err, how? I'm quite surprised because it seems to me I'm doing nothing I never did...
14:17 sri perldoc Encode
14:18 sri turn your random binary data into perl characters
14:18 JonChisciotte ok, I'm going to read it
14:29 JonChisciotte I used decode and it worked, but I cannot still understand why I had octects and not perl character already...

17:52 marcus sri: weirdness. Are you sure you mean resume from hibernation, and not sleep? I'm talking about when the battery has run out.
19:35 tempire Mojo::IOLoop->start is a required call for all ua async requests?

20:24 tempire mojo::useragent pod gives the following example: http://pastie.org/1748433
20:25 tempire but "print->res->body" gives an error, "Can't locate object method "res" via package "Mojo::UserAgent""
20:26 tempire hmm.  I guess the latest github uses pop.
20:28 tempire Ah, pop is m::txn.  Nevermind.

23:06 marcus sri: looking at https://github.com/marcusramberg/Mojolicious-Plugin-OAuth2/blob/master/lib/Mojolicious/Plugin/OAuth2.pm, not sure what I need to do to update it to UserAgent.

23:46 sri marcus: don't use callbacks
23:46 sri i think the pod is pretty clear about that
23:47 marcus sri: it passes tests tho?
23:47 sri it makes all requests async with callbacks
23:47 marcus sri: or do you mean, don't use callbacks if you want to be blocking?
23:47 sri that means it won't work with fastcgi, cgi or psgi
23:48 sri well, you didn't say what you actually want to do
23:48 marcus ok, so I should only use callbacks if async is set.
23:48 sri it sounded like it just worked by chance
23:48 marcus sri: using the client, I had a {async} flag to determine if it should do async or not.
23:49 sri then yes
