10:03 crab hm. now i have to figure out why perlbrew tries to build my perl without -lm, thus breaking the build.

10:43 sri looks like one of my birthday presents was the flu :S
10:44 sri moritz: that fastcgi bug has been fixed, Mojo::DOM is only case sensitive in xml mode
10:45 moritz sri: it didn't used to be
10:46 sri moritz: yea, was a bug
10:46 sri xml is of course case sensitive, and css can be in the right context
10:46 sri we checked the specs before fixing
10:47 sri that's exactly why xml mode was added as experimental ;)
10:48 sri there might still be more issues
10:54 sri crab: fastcgi won't be significantly faster, you know the database is the bottleneck anyway

12:14 * sri goes to sleep for a few days :S
12:34 marcus installed Mojolicious on 5.14.0 without issue
12:34 marcus cpan Mojolicious just asked two questions before configuring cpan \o/
12:34 marcus maybe with 5.16.0 it will be down to 0
12:35 sri \o/
12:35 marcus strangely it autopicked 0 [http://mirror.sov.uk.goscomb.net/CPAN/] as my main cpan mirror tho
12:35 marcus even tho there is a cpan.no mirror
12:36 moritz it still spits out too much useless info
12:36 marcus that too. Now using HTTP::Tiny
12:36 marcus and very proud of that fact apparently
12:38 * sri installs 5.14

13:52 metaperl sri is $count as 2nd arg of callback documented anywhere?
13:52 sri dunno
13:53 metaperl I didnt even know what callback you were talking about
13:53 metaperl it's certainly not doc'ed here - http://mojolicio.us/perldoc?Mojo/DOM#find is it?
13:53 sri of course the callbacks are there
13:54 snearch left #mojo
13:54 metaperl the term 'callback' is lost of me.... do you mean the closure that each, while and until call?
13:55 metaperl s/of/on
13:56 sri yes, the callback
13:56 purl the callback is called and the user assumes the object is faulty and can no longer be used
13:57 Akron joined #mojo
14:00 metaperl sri the docs do not imply that count is the second argument....
14:00 sri ok

15:01 PsimanX1 A question (if anyone around!).  In my controller I am continually polling a CUPS printer queue to ensure the queue is empty.  I had been 'sleeping' (Time::HiRes) for 0.1s to rate limit the checks but this causes the inbuilt daemon to hang on other requests  in the mean time (unsuprisingly).  Instead I now call Mojo::IOLoop->singleton->one_tick in my loop to effectively 'yield' processing.  For some reason however, this
15:01 PsimanX1 causes the controller action to be called multiple times (2 to 4) before it just stops (no errors). Is my approach wrong in someway?

15:08 sri PsimanX1: that's what you want

15:09 PsimanX1 Excellent - many thanks - I'll give that a try

16:27 sri marcus: we don't have any jsonp related code in core
16:28 marcus sri: wouldn't hurt if the JSON module  handed out jsonp safe documents tho.

18:10 crab huh. just as i get my shiny new perlbrew-ed 5.12.3 installation tuned justt right, everyone's excited about 5.14 now.
18:10 PsimanX1 yko: perfect. thanks for the help - will give it a try
18:12 marcus crab: that's the great thing about perlbrew tho. It's really easy to switch
18:12 PsimanX1 yko: awesome - that got it.  Many thanks.

21:45 tempire boo
21:45 tempire oh, nevermind.  that's for docs.
21:45 tempire still
21:46 tempire people gotta start advancing some time
21:46 sri i promise to use say pop everywhere once we go 5.10+ only
21:47 tempire oh my goodness
21:47 tempire I can finally "say push pop" without an extra subroutine in 5.14
21:50 sri omg
21:50 tempire inorite
21:55 metaperl what is it about pop that implies that a count of the number of elements found is there?
21:55 metaperl it just means there is a second argument of some sort
21:57 sri a second argument that looks good as a prefix when printing data
