16:58 rindolf Hi all.
16:59 rindolf sri: happy birthday.
16:59 purl happy birthday is for (('to you', 'dear '.shift)[0,0,1,0]) { print "Happy birthday $_" }

17:00 rindolf What should I use instead of ->max_redirects()? It was deprecated and removed, but I don't know what the alternative to do now is.
17:09 * rindolf is trying to fix Test::WWW::Mechanize::Mojo
17:10 rindolf Seems like commenting out the offending line (which assigned $tester->ua()'s max_redirects from the testers) fixed the problem, but I'm not sure if there's more to it.

19:00 rindolf Anyone?
19:00 purl Somewhere, someplace, in some universe, somebody uses whatever you just asked about.
19:00 rindolf purl: :-(
19:00 purl somebody said -( was TRADEMARKED by Despair, Inc.  You will be reported.  http://www.despair.com/demotivators/frownonthis.html
19:30 tempire rindolf: max_redirects can be specified in the object instantiation, if that helps
19:30 tempire the default max was also raised, I think from 3 to 10
19:31 rindolf tempire: OK.
19:32 rindolf tempire: I'm not sure if I instantiate an object.
19:32 tempire how do you not?
19:33 rindolf tempire: https://bitbucket.org/shlomif/perl-test-www-mechanize-mojo/src/ba6b92993159/Test-WWW-Mechanize-Mojo/lib/Test/WWW/Mechanize/Mojo.pm#cl-224 - that's my code.
19:34 rindolf I used $tester->ua;
19:34 rindolf And now $tester does not have max_redirects.
19:35 tempire is the only purpose of the  module to be used in test scripts?
19:36 tempire oh
19:36 tempire yeah, that would make sense given the mod name :)
19:37 tempire that is strange, max_redirects should be fine as an attribute assignment
19:41 tempire yeah, it's still there, works just fine
19:41 tempire https://gist.github.com/2689896
19:41 tempire and https://github.com/kraih/mojo/blob/master/lib/Test/Mojo.pm#L433
19:44 tempire *corrected gist

19:48 rindolf tempire: I'm also accessing $t->max_redirects() - not $t->ua->max_redirects()
19:48 tempire ah.  ->ua->max_redirects is just fine.
19:49 tempire for what you want, I mean
20:00 Elraraniel I've used the "mojo generate MyApp" command to create an application, and have found the main PM file to add routes to. However, how do I add websocket routing to this file? The Mojolicious::Lite method of adding "websocket '/echo' => sub {" does not work.
20:01 rindolf tempire: OK, so I don't have to do  $t->ua->max_redirects($t->max_redirects); ?
20:09 tempire correct, $t->ua is the object being used for all $t->get/post/etc actions
20:10 tempire Elraraniel: http://search.cpan.org/~sri/Mojolicious-2.95/lib/Mojolicious/Guides/Routing.pod#WebSockets
20:10 rindolf tempire: OK, thanks.

20:16 Elraraniel tempire: thanks. I couldn't find this at the mojolicio.us site.
20:20 tempire it's at mojolicio.us/perldoc/mojolicious/guides/routing
20:20 tempire the other is just came up in google first
20:25 Elraraniel tempire: roger
20:29 Elraraniel tempire: how do I access the application namespace when my code is arranged like this (as opposed to single-file Lite mode). Example: I can't access "app->log->debug()" anymore.
20:34 SmokeMachine_ joined #mojo
20:47 tempire in startup or a controller?
20:47 tempire startup: $self->app
20:47 tempire er, no
20:47 tempire in startup: $self == app
20:47 tempire controller is the same: $self->app
20:50 Elraraniel tempire: Oh. Gotcha. I am new-ish to Perl, and transitioning from the Lite mode to "full" mode has been a bit confusing :) Thanks.
21:14 tempire just don't get discouraged.  it's really the same thing.
