03:18 angelixd hey, quck question.  I'm trying out mojolicious for the first time here, and trying to get a handle on how to use Mojolicious::Plugin::Config
03:19 angelixd what is the correct incantation for, say, accessing the config while inside a controller?
03:24 angelixd my immediate instinct is to look at $self->app->plugin('config'); but then since I'min a controller, it looks for something in Commands.pm.conf
03:25 angelixd is the correct way to go about this to creat an attribute on $app and load it there for use by external resources?

03:57 tempire $self->config('myconfigvar')

04:22 sri Akron: i can't replicate your example in master
04:24 sri could have been a bug that was fixed with the addition of Mojo::Path->merge

07:44 estrai morning
07:46 estrai is there a way to create a builder method when using Mojo::Base? I'm now doing that in the constructor but that doesn't look nice
07:46 estrai what I need is pretty much the same as Moose's builder
07:46 estrai (or lazy=>1)
07:52 tempire estrai: That's not what Mojo::Base is for.  If you need that functionality, just use Moose or Mouse or Moo
07:53 tempire moooooo
07:55 estrai thanks, I'm trying to do as much as I can in Mojo* (for fun, not a real requirement)
07:57 estrai hmm, but Moo is worth a try

13:02 amirite how do I get json posted in ?
13:02 amirite i.e. i'm sending in my post content a json encoded object
13:02 amirite how do i read it from mojo?
13:05 amirite anyone
13:06 amirite if it doesn't exist just tell me
13:06 Psyche^ joined #mojo
13:07 Akron amirite: Maybe there is a json-helper anywhere, but I think, instantiating a new Mojo::JSON object is simple enough.
13:07 amirite thanks akron
13:07 amirite found the response in a google group, Mojo::JSON->decode( $self->req->body )
13:07 amirite that's what i wanted to know
13:08 Akron That's it.
13:09 Akron amirite: However if you need to do it in a lot of controller methods, implementing a helper for it is pretty simple.

13:58 jbert hi. I'm trying to use mojo for a special-purpose http proxy (one input PUT maps to 2x output PUT). plan is to:
13:58 jbert - hook req->content->body in the after_build_tx (so I get double-callback behaviour)
13:58 jbert - in my put handler, hook 'read' on req->content
13:58 jbert - in read handler, establish outbound mojo.ua to my PUT destinations
13:58 jbert conceptual problem: how do I handle throttling? I'd like to trigger a write on each outbound UA whenever read event fires, but it's clear that the outbound UA might be choking. Can anyone suggest a good model to follow?
14:10 jbert (one goal is to avoid buffering in memory if writer is slow. Can I throttle reads?)
15:51 sri hmm

17:56 angelixd I'm trying to strip down a controller and make a model class in Mojolicious that has knowledge of the Mojolicious app; i.e., access to {log,app,home} attributes for managing assets (I'm generating .png files I'd like to drop in public/). Is there a base class I can inherit from that will auto-populate these attributes for me, or should I just have this class do 'use Mojo::Base;' and then pass in the attributes I want?

20:11 hide if I'm understanding this now, the bridge is occurring before the route, and the path hasn't been parsed into params yet, so that's why it's not available within the bridge code
20:11 hide can I make a bridge with a parameter?

20:39 tempire snailfromhu: make an executable lite app that I can quickly run, with that example the url you're using against it
20:39 tempire and I'll see what I can see
20:42 tempire oh, I see
20:42 tempire you're using the lite route like a full route
20:42 snailfromhu here is the sample script https://gist.github.com/2704979
20:42 snailfromhu yep, thats what I'm doing, is this wrong?
20:43 tempire http://mojolicious.org/perldoc/Mojolicious/Lite#Restrictive_placeholders
20:48 snailfromhu @tempire gotcha
20:49 snailfromhu now how can I make sure my regexp is matching the beginning of a line when I'm not able to use ^?
20:50 snailfromhu can I take that for granted?
