15:20 nicolasbd hello .. have a small question : i want to delcare a route to access and immediately render templates. So I write a route like $r->route('/js/:file')->via('GET')->to(cb=>sub{ ... }); but I can't find out how to get the "file" name from the placeholder
15:21 nicolasbd I thought it was made with $c->stash("file"); .. but doesn't work here ($c is my main class .. i get it like this : my $c=shift; in the startup function)
15:24 nicolasbd damn' .. it's in the stack !
15:25 nicolasbd wtf is the stack ?
15:29 nicolasbd it's the route stack .. okay .. i want to get it from the stash pleeease

18:36 Ulti is there some protips somewhere for reverse proxying through to morbo in Mojolicious?
18:36 Ulti specifically with apache2
19:09 tempire Ulti: why do you want to reverse proxy to morbo?
19:11 rafl joined #mojo
19:19 Ulti well reverse proxying to anything would be good
19:19 Ulti tried hypnotoad
19:20 Ulti its weird the reverse proxy works apart from the static css isn't served.... but on error Mojolicious' css makes it through fine
19:21 Ulti http://supfam2.cs.bris.ac.uk/disorder/ <-- no css but you can see the file  http://supfam2.cs.bris.ac.uk/disorder/protein/info/ <-- css works
19:23 Ulti yeah the reverse proxy is working but static content I've setup isn't
19:23 Ulti strange
19:24 Ulti oh wait thats all embedded CSS sorry
19:24 tempire morbo is just the dev server, so it wouldn't make sense.
19:24 tempire but there's http://mojolicio.us/perldoc/Mojolicious/Guides/Cookbook#Apache2Fmod_proxy
19:25 Ulti yeah thats what I'm using atm
19:26 Ulti the problem is I can't go CGI as I need to run mojolicious out of the perl in my home
19:34 tempire not sure where CGI comes into the mix
19:34 tempire If you have to run Apache, I'm referring to Apache/mod_proxy
19:34 tempire CGI is the devil
19:35 Ulti never work inside a univeristy
19:36 Ulti tempire: I'm running mod_proxy and its sort of working, perhaps my assumptions about what it can do are wrong
19:37 Ulti I assumed if I had  external.com/prefix/  and   internal.local/   stuff like href="/css/style.css"   would   make its way via the prefix given this page was served through the proxy?
19:43 tempire I haven't used apache in 30 years, but I just dropped the text into apache on my mac, and tried it with /css/style.css, and it recognized it
19:43 tempire oh wait, I didn't try with a /prefix
19:44 tempire well nevermind.  I don't recall how to make a virtualhost listen on a prefix
19:46 tempire ah, I see.
19:47 tempire yeah, apache is passing on the /prefix
19:47 Ulti looks like you have to use yet another module mod_proxy_html
19:47 Ulti which will rewrite the proxied url content
19:48 Ulti as if you wouldnt want that as default *facepalm*
19:49 tempire when you figure it out, add a wiki entry and post it in here
19:49 tempire may make its way into the cookbook
19:57 Foxcool joined #mojo
20:00 tempire huh.  third party module.
20:01 tempire looks like it would just be easier to change the app to point to 'relative/url'
20:02 Ulti yup
20:02 Ulti for sure
20:02 Ulti thanks for your efforts tempire
20:02 Ulti whats depressing is IIS does that as default by the looks of it
20:03 tempire apache is old school anyway
20:05 * marcus buys mupromo
20:09 marcus screenflow 3, guess I will have to make screencasts now ...
20:11 marcus totally worth it just for parallels + busycal tho
20:12 tempire busycal looks nice
20:12 marcus very. ical is such a horror
20:16 tempire don't know about parallels anymore.  virtualbox seems to do the job

20:52 marcus not my experience with virtualbox.
20:53 marcus getting civ v in steam was pretty great too
20:56 marcus seems I can run os x in parallels, maybe I could try mountain lion in it.
21:01 sri hmm, doesn't look like anyone cares about the heroku recipe

21:21 tempire sri: do you normally get lots of responses to your recipe tweets?
21:22 sri nope, but about this one i wasn't sure, and the feedback i got so far (from you ;p) was negative
21:22 tempire I didn't intend to be negative.
21:23 tempire It just seems more wiki-ish
21:23 sri so it is negative :)
21:23 sri negative = remove from cookbook, positive = keep in cookbook
21:25 sri i just thought it would be nice to have a maintained default cloud hosting recipe

21:36 * sri is confused
21:38 sri tempire: so what are you saying, keep it or remove it?
21:40 tempire I'd say remove it 'cause it has the potential to become outdated easily.
21:40 sri that's why i added it to core, i was willing to keep it updated
21:41 tempire I'm unsure.  I don't feel strongly enough about it to say either way.
21:42 * sri pokes marcus

23:25 marcus thanks macupdate!
23:52 tempire marcus: you should pressure judofyr to update his amazon s3 with perl-5.16.0.tgz, so I don't have to make my own heroku s3.
