01:12 sri not sure if those warnings in the discovery phase should just be hidden
01:13 sri *shouldn't (?)
01:14 sri atm we have warning at the top and command missing from list below, then die() on direct call
01:14 sri maybe command missing from list is enough
01:15 sri then you wouldn't notice broken commands unless you call them directly

08:49 nicolasbd do you think it's possible to use Plugin::Mount anywhere in the application (calling the main FrontController and telling it to mount the plugin and create a route ?)
09:00 nicolasbd or is it possible to add a route dynamically in my app ?

09:57 diegok nicolasbd: you can add routes dinamically (I've never tried)
09:58 diegok nicolasbd: you can access your app object and from there to the router.
09:58 diegok o/
09:59 nicolasbd diegok: ah yes, my bad .. i tried to access to my controller "class" but not to the object
10:00 diegok yesterday talk about mojolicious to the barcelona rails group was very good. A lot of comments in the line of "oh!, that perl looks nice" and "I should check this out as we need an event based web solution for..."
10:00 diegok :)
10:05 nicolasbd \o/
10:05 nicolasbd never tried rails
10:05 nicolasbd what do you prefer ?
10:06 nicolasbd (how can i access my $app object by the way ?)
10:10 diegok I prefer perl :)
10:11 diegok but rails has a lot of good things.
10:11 diegok I really enjoy doing ruby but still prefer perl when I can choose :)
10:12 diegok nicolasbd: lite or full app?
10:12 diegok nicolasbd: $self->app or if you are in line you have the app function

11:56 daxim http://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Asha_Greyjoy
11:59 marcus hmm, maybe a good name for my next daughter...
12:00 nicolasbd haha
12:00 marcus (wife is 2 weeks overdue
12:00 nicolasbd Asha is good but "greyjoy" is kinda sad
12:01 marcus yeah, would be asha ramberg :)
12:01 nicolasbd better indeed
12:01 nicolasbd :)
12:02 marcus it's a plus that they used a different name in the TV-series
12:03 marcus also considering milla, mia, ada
12:04 nicolasbd "2 weeks overdue" means the baby will arrive in two weeks ? or should been arrived two weeks ago ? or none of it ?
12:04 marcus due date was tuesday 2 weeks ago.
12:04 marcus we've been to the hospital today to try to start the process.
12:08 nicolasbd oh ! congratulations & good luck
12:09 marcus thanks :)
12:09 nicolasbd is she still at the hospital ?
12:18 nicolasbd haha .. plugin::mount still drives me crazy : when I call the route I told it to mount, it says "404, i only know the two routes you defined in the plugin" .. when I call one of them, it says "404, this is not the route you specified for the plugin"

14:47 sri it sounds scandinavian though
14:48 sri but yea, Asha is pretty cool name
14:48 marcus Milla seems more likely atm
14:48 marcus I'm still rooting for Ada tho. after Ada Lovelace
14:49 sri how geeky

14:58 sri MOJO_APP is really tricky
15:00 nicolasbd http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1cYQV62WhkM
15:00 sri not available in germany :(
15:01 nicolasbd damn' .. nevermind
15:01 nicolasbd but I use a firefox extension for this kind of problems : anonymoX
15:01 sri it's ridiculous, they even block the official channels of the artists in germany now
15:01 nicolasbd really ?
15:01 sri firefox still sucks on os x
15:02 nicolasbd haha .. yes, so slow
15:03 nicolasbd well, i'm not fair with firefox though, because i'm using it for web developement, so I disable caching .. and then, i say "it's too slow, go google chrome"
15:03 nicolasbd but there's probably an equivalent in google chrome .. if i find it i'll tell you
15:04 sri the IP system is so screwed up, artists sign over the copyright for their work to GEMA, which is supposed to collect money, but can do pretty much whatever they like with it, even against the wishes of the artists
15:06 sri they didn't like the deal youtube proposed, so now everything is blocked
15:14 nicolasbd sri: yes, it's weird ..
15:15 nicolasbd i once had a contract with a label for some tracks i did .. but the label never released the tracks on vinyl (as it was planned). but it wasn't specified on the contract, so i was kinda f*cked.
15:17 nicolasbd they didn't even release them as mp3s .. they didn't care about it anymore, and it was ok for them because it didn't cost anything, but the contract "locked" the track for 5 years on this label, so i couldn't try with another
15:17 nicolasbd (and it was ok for me because i wasn't that involved into music yet, so i just stopped)
15:18 sri damn labels, hope they die soon
15:18 sri at least it doesn't look like they will take the internet down with them anymore
15:20 nicolasbd haha .. yes but it's sad, they just don't know how to make money anymore, selling some vinyls isn't enough .. I don't mind because for me, music should be free, but I'm still attached to vinyls & CD's and i keep buying them because I know it's a lot of work

15:30 nicolasbd sri: how do Moose manage its "before" and "after" functions when calling object methods ? would it be possible to build something like that in Mojolicious ? I don't know how it works, but if it's not too complicated, i might try
15:35 nicolasbd well .. i'm watching Moose sources right now and .. it might be too complicated for me
15:37 nicolasbd and probably useless in mojolicious
15:37 sri Moose is just an object system that can be used with Mojolicious, there is nothing special about it
15:39 nicolasbd yes but i don't know how to have such functions in my controller .. can i put a "use Moose" or something like that ? don't think so
15:40 sri MooseX::NonMoose
15:44 nicolasbd thanks, i'll try
15:50 nicolasbd have a nice week end sri

21:29 nic Has anyone observed M::P::Authentication calling &load_user twice per page load?
21:31 nic I'll try to debug on Tuesday, just wondering if anyone has already seen that behaviour
21:32 nic It's not related to how often ->current_user is invoked, but it's most likely I'm doing something wrong
