04:00 alnewkirk Mojo::Dom fell only a few methods short of being used to render widgets in my new app
04:01 alnewkirk ... then I picked-up HTML::Zoom (burnt my hands), then I picked-up Template::Semantic (and my cpan installer went all wtf) ...
04:01 alnewkirk *sighs*
04:12 sri what methods are you missing?
04:13 sri eeeeep, json pointer escape character is about to change again :S
04:14 sri this time they want to go with ~0 and ~1 instead of ^/ and ^^

10:12 sri tempire: it's not so much about the core protocol, problem is server specific quirks
10:13 tempire Ah.  I've only worked with one or two servers.
10:13 tempire The only difference I saw is that some servers accept new lines, whereas the protocol requires null termination

10:39 Patterner What about PSYC as an IRC alternative? :)
10:56 crab tempire: ?! the protocol certainly requires CRLF on lines
10:56 crab it's been a while since i read 1459, but i don't recall it allowing NUL anywhere.
11:03 mire joined #mojo
11:14 marcus yeah, it requires crlf

16:23 marty Hmm... $self->redirect_to('groovy', abc => 'xyz');  I thought I would have abc available as a stash variable in groovy.html.ep
16:33 crab what does the route named groovy look like?
16:35 marty $r->route('/groovy')->via('get')->to(template => 'groovy');
16:36 marty Ahhh,  I think I see where you are going.
16:37 crab the only way abc would be set in the stash for the groovy handler is if there were a placeholder named abc in the route.
16:37 marty Yes, you are correct.  Thank you, crab.
16:37 marty crab++
16:38 crab the only alternative is to use the flash, which actually sets the value in the session cookie.
16:38 crab but is meant for exactly this situation, to send some data along with the redirect.
16:41 crab but then of course it'll be set in the flash, not the stash.
16:41 crab i wish flash were called something else. "flash" is so strongly a verb in my mind.
16:43 crab abhijit3
16:45 marty yes, good idea.  It also took me a while to get my head around flash also.

20:18 ynon hi
20:18 ynon Im just starting out with mojo
20:19 ynon and wanted to know what is the standard way to do:
20:19 ynon DB access (ORM)
20:19 ynon authentication
20:19 ynon ?
20:23 marcus ynon: there's no standard way, we're model agnostic.
20:23 marcus ynon: use whatever you are comfortable with.
20:25 ynon ok cool. when I looked around at plugins I found this one: Mojolicious::Plugin::Database
20:26 ynon (for db access)
20:26 ynon and doc said I should use that to avoid problems with hypnotoad
20:26 ynon I'm comfortable with DBIx::class, but not sure how to combine the two

20:36 tempire I do!
20:38 ynon 10x ! Im on it :)
20:51 tempire wow
20:51 tempire showoff.io is really neat
21:05 * marcus is looking at IO::ASync
21:06 marcus it has a mojo::ioloop integration.
21:43 tempire arg
21:44 tempire I guess IO::Socket::SSL 1.75 is required now
