00:28 davido I seem to be mistaken in my assumption that I can put favicon.ico in a /public folder, add a couple <link... tags to my default layout, and have it get picked up from there.
00:29 davido What simple and obvious step am I missing?

02:28 tempire davido: you don't even need tags specifying it
02:28 tempire browsers will just pick it up
02:28 tempire notice that every mojolicious app has a cloud by default
02:29 tempire which is always available at /favicon.ico, if not otherwise specified by your app

11:39 phips That's assuming that list is up to date daxim... (but thanks, none the less)
11:42 daxim I wrote that piece of documentation myself, AFAICS it is up-to-date
11:43 daxim you can do your manipulation in WWW::Scripter first, then feed the serialised DOM to Mojo::DOM or similar for querying

12:30 phips daxim: then I doubly thank you, and trust the list ;)
12:31 phips daxim: basically, a page I'm requesting needs authenticating too. which I'm doing just fine. but the 'logout' button is some javascript, and just for cleanliness, really, I wanted to log out of the page once I've finished scraping for what I want. The session times out after 15 minutes anyway, so it's not deadly important.
12:35 daxim oh, simple.  use wireshark or firebug/dragonfly/web inspector/network panel to find out what the resulting request looks like
12:35 daxim then make that request manually, completely by-passing javascript
12:36 daxim that, too, is explained in the FAQ I already linked to
12:42 phips magic, many thanks daxim, appreciated.

12:52 amirite you guys know how catalyst has before and end sub-routines and a well-defined flow of sub-routine calls for requests? what does mojo have?
12:53 amirite i want to essentially run a couple sub-routines automatically before and after any requests
13:03 amirite thanks for the url_with tip from before diegok
13:04 diegok amirite: look for hooks
13:04 amirite starting from where in the documentation, approximately?
13:04 amirite Mojo:TX:Request or something like that?
13:05 diegok amirite: I think here is a good poing: http://search.cpan.org/~sri/Mojolicious-3.01/lib/Mojolicious.pm#hook
13:06 amirite thx
13:08 diegok amirite: It's kind of disperse, but you have lots of events to hook to al around :)
13:09 andrefs joined #mojo
13:09 amirite yeah i need to get used to events as a paradigm on the server-side
13:10 amirite i've wrapped my head around client-side events i.e. javascript quite nicely but not so on the server side
13:10 Debolaz[Lo] Apache - Making the wrong things hard, and the right things impossible
13:42 phips daxim: thanks to your heads up earlier I worked out what the jscript was doing, and managed to achieve what I needed to in mojo. Ta very muchly.

19:17 Andrei666 hello, does the css file needs to be css.html.ep?
19:17 Andrei666 i mean, I've placed in my default layout %= include '/css/styles.css'
19:17 Andrei666 i presume the css folder must be in the public folder and in there, the css file
19:18 Andrei666 but morbo tells me that Template "/css/styles.css.html.ep" not found.
19:18 Andrei666 should the css folder and file be in templates/layouts/..?
19:18 omega you shouldn't use include to include the css?
19:19 omega you should use <link> html element instead?
19:19 Andrei666 omega: could you be more specific, please, how should I include my css file?
19:20 omega in your <head> element, presumably in your default layout, add a <link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="/css/styles.css">
19:20 omega instead of your $= include '/css/styles.css'
19:21 Andrei666 oh...ok..
19:21 Andrei666 :)
19:21 Andrei666 i thought it suppose to be mojo type stuff :)
19:21 Andrei666 and the css files should be in the public dir
19:21 Andrei666 right?
19:22 omega yeah
19:23 Andrei666 great, thanks :)
