15:34 suy Do the embedded templates require something special to work (if they work) on Perl 5.10?
15:35 suy yesterday I deployed the default output of `mojo generate lite_app` to openshift (that uses 5.10 and CGI as I understood), and it was complaining that could not find index.html.ep

16:27 suy Is possible that some additional module is needed? I had to install Time::HiRes to make it work.
16:27 sri that means your perl is broken
16:27 sri Time::HiRes is a core module
16:29 suy was it on 5.10? (totally ignorant)
16:29 sri "corelist Time::HiRes"
16:30 suy I'm totally new to Perl and OpenShift. I assumed they probably had an old version of Perl since they use RHEL, and is probably released a long while ago. But it would surprise me they have a broken Perl.
16:31 sri RHEL is known to ship broken perls you have to fix first
16:31 crab RHEL having a broken perl is the least surprising thing i can think of right now
16:32 suy ouch :-)
16:33 suy It's a pity then. OpenShift looks very nice, and it gave me confidence that they support Perl explicitly.
16:34 nicomen nothing can be very nice if it uses RHEL
16:34 snuffles joined #mojo
16:35 sri most linux distros ship old busted perls, the lesson here is not to depend on the system perl
16:36 suy Wow. That surprises me. I've been using Debian for a while, and I wasn't aware of such things.
16:36 crab suy: it's easy to install a nice non-system perl of a recent vintage using perlbrew
16:37 Vandal what can I use like bridge but after main action?
16:37 suy crab: thank you. I thought so, but I wanted to avoid having to learn yet another thing. I will try it ASAP.
16:38 Vandal or at least after any action
16:38 nicomen https://github.com/kraih/mojo/wiki/The-way-to-install-newer-version-perl
16:38 suy "Time::HiRes was first released with perl 5.007003" # On OpenShift. Weird...
16:39 sri RedHat breaks up perl into smaller packages, and doesn't install some of them by default
16:39 sri it's pretty bad

20:48 Akron Why is Mojo::Headers->header('foobar') returning an array of array references? I don't understand the references.
20:50 sri a header value can span multiple lines
20:50 Akron Yes, but I tried to parse it and it returns everything as a single line ...
20:51 sri now i don't understand
20:54 Akron sri: There are multiple lines and they are interpreted as one line ... https://gist.github.com/Akron/bf5405eabae8d3e590da
20:58 sri maybe it's broken
21:00 sri oh yea, it's not actually supported in the parser
21:00 Akron But - is it even useful?
21:00 sri return value must be legacy then
21:00 Akron Okay.
21:01 Akron Something to get rid off with 4.0. ;)
21:01 sri hmm
21:01 sri wonder how much code it would break
21:02 berov joined #mojo
21:04 Akron It's hard to deprecate it and I think from all the Mojo::Headers methods, 'header' should be used quite often - especially for the X-Stuff.
21:05 Akron s/it //;
21:07 sri it might be in use for building messages

21:11 Akron On another topic: Is support for Web Linking on the road map? https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc5988
21:12 sri nope
21:13 Akron Okay.
21:14 Akron Thanks for your clarification regarding header() - I will simply ignore the rest of the array references.
21:18 BeDa joined #mojo
21:24 sri hmm, breaking it seems to have no performance benefit, so might as well just fix it

23:24 sri WTF?!!!
23:24 sri google reader is shutting down :o
23:30 Akron I'm using rssLounge for months now and I'm pretty happy. But shutting it down is a damn stupid idea - if there is one service on the web used by all journalists around the globe, it's google reader. That will result in a lot of bad press.
23:37 Akron The new cloning method looks a lot better.
23:38 sri it will make a lot of people realize that depending on free google services is a really bad idea
23:38 rakshasa sri++
23:42 Akron Fortunately Dave Winer not only invented RSS but also gave us OPML - so we can easily transfer to other services. :)

23:55 Akron But it's funny how bad this company - that made its fortune with the open web - became in supporting it, since they try to be more like Facebook.
