07:10 Vandal when I'm doing warn in console they are ok, but even logging makes them broken

20:39 sri hmmmmm
20:39 sri the non-blocking gridfs write() code is.... interesting
20:43 * sri thinks he might have created a monster
20:46 sri https://github.com/kraih/mango/commit/aae6af573c195bc1e1d41ce20aeb72541d362e97
20:46 sri bit of a mess
20:46 sri interesting side effect of parallel writing is that i've found and fixed a complicated connection pool timing bug :)
20:51 sri write() is the hardest one to implement though... the others are just single operation or a plain sequence
21:03 sri jberger: you could have also called it gather/take like in perl6 ;)
21:09 jberger you know, I didn't even think to look at what the p6 names were, I probably should have
21:09 jberger I can probably make aliases :-)
21:09 jberger I need to get the arguments working first though
21:10 sri jberger: do nested generators work?
21:11 sri python calls that "yield from"
21:12 sri that part of python generators is pretty nice
21:13 jberger that's why I wrote it, they looked so slick
21:13 sri good PEP too http://www.python.org/dev/peps/pep-0380/
21:14 jberger I still can't find many realistic cases where I can't do similar things without yield in Perl, but they can look much nicer
21:14 sri well, there's always continuation passing as an alternative
