00:19 Adura Is there a twitter-like microblogging platform with only images? 140 bytes would require a special format, though.
00:19 sri instagram
00:20 Adura I hear about it, but it has an air of stupidity, so I don't go to it.

10:35 jfried Hi, does Mojo require something special installed/configured on a linux system? because it just freezes. for example a small script: use Mojo::IOLoop; print "ok\n";  this doesn't print anything.
10:35 jfried on another system it works. but i thought i ask before i'm looking for the differences a long time.
10:37 jfried i'm using a custom compiled perl 5.18.0

11:19 sri marcus: heh!
11:27 * sri still wonders if fork safety is something we want for Mojo::UserAgent
11:33 nic jfried: Do the distro tests all pass? Do docn examples work? If so, it means the breakage happens when you're doing something wrong
11:36 jfried nic, yes, i'm just debugging right now. and i think i found the bug. i used an older libopenssl on the buildhost. and so IO::Socket::SSL doesn't work. i will report back if this is really the problem

13:15 jfried nic, there seems to be a bug with the current version of libopenssl on a sles 11 sp2 and Net::SSLeay 1.55. after downgrading to Net::SSLeay 1.39 it worked
13:17 nic jfried: Did the IO::Socket::SSL tests pass, or were they not run?
13:17 jfried the Net::SSLeay tests didn't pass
13:17 jfried they just hangs on ... *mompls*
13:19 jfried t/local/04_basic.t ..................... 1/6
13:19 mattastrophe joined #mojo
13:20 jfried and 1.39 is the one that works with sles 11 sp2 ...
13:21 moltar joined #mojo
13:21 jfried the strange thing is, that Net::SSLeay 1.55 worked well before i run an updated of the os.
13:21 jfried so with openssl-0.9.8j-0.39.x it worked. and with the current version openssl-0.9.8j-0.50.1 it stopped working
13:22 jfried i don't know what suse is doing...
13:22 basiliscos joined #mojo
13:22 nic I didn't even know Suse had an es
13:23 jfried it would be better to all if they had no es... there is a perl 5.10.0 on it... :(
13:24 nic I like the isolation of ignoring the os perl, but then with c libs things can get messy
13:24 nic (I'm having fun with libusb)
13:25 nic s/fun/pain/
13:25 jfried yes sometimes you end up building hell lot of packages by yourself, with all the hassle that comes with own packages :(
13:31 crab heh, i thought you were jfriedl, and was going to say it's been ages since you were on irc
13:32 jfried oh no, i'm sorry

21:08 sri marcus: only thing i can imagine that might work now but wouldn't anymore is if you start a non-blocking request in startup() so it gets performed whenever a new worker is forked... but that's a rather odd thing to do, and untested/undocumented
21:08 sri *if* it works at all... i'm just guessing ;p
