08:46 markus Hello
08:48 markus I got a existing perl application and now i want create a webservice for it. The existing application is written in perl and I need to change intern variables from webservice. Is there any inter proccess communication posibillity in mojo?
08:51 nicomen same as any other perl program I guess ;)
08:52 markus yes, i thought, that there is perhaps a nice implementation in mojo directely
08:56 marcus markus: the best would probably be to embed mojo in your existing app and make a rest api. something like http://mojolicio.us/perldoc/Mojolicious/Guides/Cookbook#Web_server_embedding
08:56 marcus that way you get a fairly loose coupling as well.
08:57 markus and then it is running in the same process and i can use my internal variables?
09:01 kwa markus: Yip. Assuming you're not shelling to it.
09:05 markus okay, so i got my existing application with internal variables (no mojolicious) that is running in a loop. In that loop i can start a mojo app (not lite) and than mojo is running in my existing application and i can change the intern variables.
09:05 markus Am i right with that?
09:06 marcus yes.

10:15 trexy Hi
10:15 purl que tal, trexy.
10:16 trexy I have a Mojo::Command - that I would like to dispatch to a controller - what's a good way to pass command line params to a controller?
10:17 trexy - I would like server config and logging available in the controller
10:17 trexy any ideas?

16:58 jim Hello everyone, a quick question using mojolicious to make a small project: uesr edit a table on a webpage and I save the edits and do some thing about the edits. Quick hints are appreciated, like some google search terms, Thank you!
16:59 nic jim: Do you "save" them to a file?  or where?
17:00 jim Hi nic, basically the user needs to change a files with numerical table data, it is a configuration file, I'll save his/her change and edit the config file according to his change.
17:03 nic so pretty much everything you need is within Mojolicious, so the Guides are all you need to start with
17:03 jim I'll display the numerical data table on a webpage in a table format, the user edits the table and I'll save the changes to a file.
17:05 jim I came across http://stackoverflow.com/questions/16292572/how-to-make-html-table-excel-like-editable-for-multiple-cells-i-e-simultaneo
17:05 jim is Java script unavoidable in this case?
17:05 sh4 joined #mojo
17:09 nic On what you've said so far it can be html or html+js
17:10 jim Thanks nic, which direction do you suggest?
17:10 nic It kind of depends on what the table looks like and whether you need fancy things happening while the user enters data
17:11 nic If it's ok to have a dumb page of fields that does nothing till the user hits a button, then pure html is the quickest to get going with
17:11 abhishekisnot joined #mojo
17:12 jim I'll try that first and learn javascript to improve it. The key question for me is how to save the table after the user edit? is it saved in $self->table_id
17:16 nic I'm picturing a list of text fields with generated names, which get posted back when the user hits the big red button
17:17 jim got it, trying. Thanks nic.
