00:08 s what do you think?
00:08 purl I think s should try flossing more often!
00:13 s I would really appreciate traction with this
00:13 s where should I go for help?
00:14 s I don't need this much work myself
00:14 s I've defined all the formulae and poetry you need to get it going
00:14 s still no "holy shit I can see God in there" stimuli
00:14 s it's so easy.
00:16 s but yeah the path shines it's just STILL and bitch to climb
00:16 s what's the best way of replacing windows with linux?
00:16 s how do we manage operating systems like that?
00:16 s slot one into free space in ntfs (somehow) and slowly grow the boundary until its all ext3?
00:17 s do these methods exist? they will soon. I'm saying we need that shit nowish.
00:17 s I really need OTHER CODERS nowish too
00:17 s it would make it so glorious right now
00:18 s I might have the golden snitch but it's yours any time you wake up to it.
00:19 s I just invented a new way to make coffee, get the pot hot and dry, then chuck in a cup of hot water and then a spoonful of fine grind in behind the erruption of steam
00:19 s then it's instantly full of coffee bubbles and ready to be poured back into the cup
00:19 s a one atmosphere espresso with an eruption of steam and tons of bubbles and crema
00:19 s am I not getting any attention here?
00:20 s can I get unbanned?
00:20 s I'll keep it cool but I'm sure the wide #perl would catch me the right people
00:20 s gotta go install ubuntu like a slave
00:21 Adurah You're like that TempleOS guy.
00:34 s "Should have space weather."
00:34 s this guys great!
00:34 s I don't want to look at his machine tho
00:34 s I can feel some stuff missing just from his language
00:35 s but.... really nice...
00:35 s anyway I've got more magic this time around apparently!
00:35 s but ubuntu's still fucking up in the other room
00:35 s it's just more complicated than that
00:36 s I want to save the jazz music, some of it needs wav->ogging, moving to drive A, partition drive B for linux, back up stuff from drive A, install on a partition on drive B
00:36 s easy job sheet, hard job.
00:39 s Wormholes?                      Bent wormholes have echoes.
00:39 jberger permission to kick?
00:39 s where do I take this then?
00:39 s it's gotta be somewhere cos what the fuck else is all this for
00:40 s anyway wormholes is about culture not spiralling out of control
00:40 s by seeing itself positively
00:40 s yeah whatever
00:40 s help me ffs!
00:42 jberger s if indeed you are not a bot please post a link to any news article dated today
00:43 jberger and then please stay more or less on topic, I like wormholes as much as the next guy but the topic is Mojo and web dev in general
00:44 sri jberger: permission granted
00:46 jberger 3
00:46 s here's a vibe from today https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=og4TYInLVss
00:47 s and biblical illustrations from my mate Jake http://jakef.tumblr.com/image/82373604286
00:47 jberger ok you are possibly not a bot but b list comics are not news and you are still off topic
00:47 s was kicked by sri: i'm sorry, but you've been warned multiple times
00:48 jberger I'm probably the most reasonable guy on here and I'm saying, last warning
01:00 * sri loves the new version of Sketch, finally no more performance problems when drawing something with many many elements o/ http://bohemiancoding.com/sketch/
01:03 sri on-topic since that's how i make the mojolicious designs ;p

10:19 batman mandel design qustion: when doing $doc->save() should all the default values be added to the database as well or just the fields that is actually set?
10:19 batman jberger, sri: can you help out?
10:19 batman or anyone else :)
10:23 riche shouldnt the db field have a default set?
10:23 mire joined #mojo
10:23 batman what do you mean?
10:24 riche if the fields in the db have defaults, wouldnt bother doing it on the doc->save call
10:25 meshl joined #mojo
10:26 batman uhm... mongodb does not have any defaults. you need to add the default values on save() if you want the database to have default values.

15:02 hesco Working with my template, I seem to have scrambled my html with a spurious div.  Is there some tool available in debian which will help me sort that out with syntax highlighting?
15:03 hesco its an .ep template, not straight up html
15:09 nic batman: a question that might help you decide: imagine 6 months from now you change one of the defaults.  Is it better that docs pick up the new default or the one at create time?

16:16 Dandre Hello,
16:18 Dandre I am using BasicAuth and Authentication plugins. I have an action to logout which calls logout helper defined in Authentication plugin. After that the user is still authenticated and ther may be a cached information. How can I remove it?
16:19 tempire don't think you can log out of basicauth
16:19 tempire that's a browser thing.
16:23 Dandre ok

16:38 batman hesco: i'm using vim and ":source /usr/share/vim/vim74/macros/matchit.vim", that way % can match a tag instead of <, [ and { pairs
16:38 batman nic: i'm 99% sure what i want. too bad that doesn't make it right :)
16:38 hesco thanks batman, I'm also using vim, that could be helpful
16:39 batman nic: the reason i want the defaults in the database is to avoid mongodb moving the $doc around all the time when adding more data.
16:39 hesco though by now I think its my js which is broken, not my html.
16:40 batman hesco: that sucks. do you know how to jump between start/end marker? (using %)
16:40 hesco I do, works fine for ( and {
16:40 hesco but not for html tags
16:41 nic batman: Capturing defaults at create-time makes more sense to me, although doing the other way makes some maintenance tasks easier

16:45 batman so you agree? add as much stuff to the database on first $doc->save() ?
