00:01 poletti ok, seems that I solved
00:03 poletti if it takes a file externally, it does not like of other files (like WRAPPER) being defined in __DATA__
00:05 poletti also, it needs INCLUDE_PATH to be set, instead of renderer-paths

09:57 berov Does cpan_mojo notify only about distributions containing "Mojo" in their names?
09:58 go|dfish berov: i think so, yeah
09:59 berov there are other distros which use heavily mojo
10:01 berov and may happen to be interesting
10:02 go|dfish it's jberger's bot, he did talk about that issue before
10:03 berov go|dfish: thanks for the info
10:04 berov jberger: could we do something about it?
10:06 berov If cpan_mojo source can be made available someone can add a check for module dependencies in META.(json|yaml) or just using the metacpan api

11:17 berov jberger: great :) I can contribute if possible
11:17 jberger let me see what I have already
11:18 berov haven't used metacpan api, but would be interested to see what can be done
11:19 jberger this is what is running now btw
11:19 jberger https://github.com/jberger/Mojo-FriendFeed/blob/master/ex/cpan.pl
11:24 berov thanks, will looka at it
11:26 berov cloned, thanks
11:26 jberger berov: I just pushed the "bot" branch: https://github.com/jberger/Mojo-FriendFeed/blob/bot/ex/cpan.pl
11:26 berov ah, ok
11:27 jberger I have no idea how close to finishing I was
11:27 jberger I got sidetracked
11:27 berov i have it in my fork
11:27 jberger but I think I was close
11:29 jberger anyway, I won't have any more time this morning to look at it
11:29 jberger I'm walking in my Ph.D. graduation!
11:29 berov so, will look at it and suggest a merge hopefully lately this evening
11:29 berov good luck!!!
11:29 purl You'll need it.
11:29 jberger hehe
11:29 jberger thanks

13:26 berov did not started yet :(
13:26 berov have to finish something
13:27 jberger_ No problem
13:27 sri hmmm... i guess we might really not need Mojo::IOLoop->generate_port anymore
13:27 jberger_ I normally test it in #release
13:31 sri or actually we do, for the fork tests

16:08 basic6_ I'm including a partial template that uses a different handler. So the controller method for page.html.ep does something like my $partial_text = $self->render('controller/part_message', handler => 'tpl', partial => 1), which works, but for some reason this also seems to change the handler for the current page. so the app is looking for a template page.html.tpl which doesn't exist. am i using a bad approach for including partial texts?

19:12 bedivere hi
19:12 purl hi, bedivere.
19:16 tempire whoa
19:16 tempire duckduckgo will translate symbols to \ unicode
19:17 bedivere whats the way in mojolicious to "encode" a tree like structure inside urls. i have a website that is represented in some kind of tree structure and in different levels of this tree i want to provide the same functions over and over again. for example there shall be functions like "add", "edit" or "delete" in different levels of that tree that will all work the same way. but i want to provide informations about at what point in the
19:18 bedivere but i do not want to store this information inside session values, because users tend to open up several parts of the website (serveral locations inside the tree) multiple times at once (with browser tabs for example)
19:19 bedivere so i thought i need to have very long paths for evere function containing specific informations about the location inside my navigational tree
19:20 bedivere or is there a different way to do these kind of things?

21:38 sri i was playing with making generate_port some more... and ended up with a patch that makes the user agent work with blocking and non-blocking at the same time

21:53 sri there goes the hackathon :O
21:56 sri if i'm not totally wrong, it's even less code than before
21:56 sri only downside is the awkward $nb that needs to be passed around to indicate which ioloop to use
21:58 sri and of course the awkward method name... nb_url
21:59 sri jberger, tempire, marcus, crab: i'm not even sure if this requires a 5.0 release, i don't see any real breakage in behavior, please review!
