00:24 beyhugobah so riddle me this
00:25 beyhugobah does mojo all you to do jaa script but progrma in perl?
00:25 beyhugobah how important is java script?
00:25 beyhugobah I see the idea of updating one part of a page not the whole so instead of a fulll refresh you update a small section of what the user sees
00:26 beyhugobah sounds good
00:26 beyhugobah but I wonder the the machinery to make it happen actually eats a lot fo resources as well

07:31 batman i think i need to return a response object. it could be rather broken to use the json structure directly

11:51 powerman hi. here is full-featured CORS support for Mojo: https://metacpan.org/pod/Mojolicious::Plugin::SecureCORS
11:52 powerman probably overkill for most projects, but some may need fine-grained control over CORS

12:57 punter Don't Minion workers consume the same RAM as the main process? (the one that gives them jobs to do)
12:58 punter But since Minion workers only do a couple of tasks, they should be able to consume a lot less RAM
12:58 punter Because you want so many of them, among other reasons
12:59 punter Have I understood something wrongly about the way Minion works?
13:01 punter I'm thinking about it as a Gearman replacement
13:01 punter maybe it's something different
13:09 batman punter: in linux, the worker consumes the same amount as the parent on fork()
13:10 batman at least if you have a relatively (>15 years old iirc) new kernel ;)
13:10 punter batman: Couldn't workers be separate things, not forks? But have their own code
13:11 punter ok, I didn't know it was a fork
13:13 batman sorry... i don't really get what you're asking about :(
13:13 batman jberger: is cpan_new on vacation? :)
13:14 batman genio, nic: https://metacpan.org/release/JHTHORSEN/Cookieville-0.05 # got any feedback on the Authorize plugin?

18:49 punter I want to use Mojo::IOLoop and AnyEvent in the same program (a Jabber server), using features from both while the event loop is running. Does it make even the slightest difference which of the two frameworks starts the event loop? (I have EV loaded)
18:49 punter And secondly, is it a good idea to mix frameworks like that?
18:49 punter or would there be any incompatibilities?
