00:40 sri dapper is also quite sql heavy https://github.com/StackExchange/dapper-dot-net
00:40 purl okay, sri.
00:42 * sri just stumbled over this, which mentions their orm-ish thingy :) http://stackexchange.com/performance

15:42 batman asarch: not sure if that was really your question though...
15:46 asarch Well, in very html declaration, it should start with: <!DOCTYPE htm>
15:46 asarch Yeah!
15:46 asarch Thank you
15:46 asarch Thank you very much batman!
15:55 batman anyone with cygwin who can help me figure out why http://www.cpantesters.org/cpan/report/aac42cc3-7a83-1014-91b2-cd1a5df4dae8 fails?
15:57 batman asarch: not sure if you are sarcastic... if not: i'm glad i could help.
15:59 asarch Well, some how last night all the queries in Google pointed me to Tim's web site
15:59 asarch :-(
15:59 asarch I thought HTML's DTD didn't exist
16:00 batman w3c.org has it all
16:00 batman but i guess you might not want the actual dtd, but the doctype definition

16:21 asarch Thank you, thank you very much
16:23 asarch I read in a book that XML + HTML = XHTML<- is the future so I am learning XML and I read about HTML DTD in the linuxdoc-tools documentation
16:24 sri btw. regarding the parallel testing problem and Mojo::Pg migrations
16:24 sri xdg just pointed out in #toolchain that he added a feature for that recently
16:25 sri you can have a t/testrules.yml file explaining which tests need to be sequential and which can be run parallel
16:26 sri asarch: lol!
16:26 sri that book is very outdated, xhtml is dead
16:26 sri html5 is the present and future
16:27 asarch Oh :-( I've been reading the wrong book
16:27 sri if you want to learn from specs, the ones listed here are the relevant ones http://mojolicio.us/perldoc/Mojo/DOM/HTML#DESCRIPTION
16:29 * asarch updates his notebook...
16:30 sri some more links http://mojolicio.us/perldoc#BASICS
16:30 sri the mozilla developer network links to a lot of great reading material
16:31 sri books are still a bit weak on the topic, most html5 books expect prior html4 knowledge

17:06 preaction purl: MDN is also Mozilla Developer Network http://developer.mozilla.org

21:29 sivoais mst: do you have a roadmap for <https://metacpan.org/release/Data-CapabilityBased>?
21:30 mst sivoais: no. Data::Query works, I've ported DBIC to it twice, but it isn't my current itch
21:30 mst sivoais: I'm going to need it again reasonably shortly though, I suspect
21:31 mst anyway, I'm wandering off for the moment, grab me another time and I can explain in more detail
21:31 sivoais ok, will do! I'm currently mulling over similar ideas in the PDL-space
21:32 mst right. really would love to chat about it, but my house contains no bread and no beer and this needs to be fixed
21:32 mst &
21:32 sivoais haha, yes :-)

22:34 sri jberger: good start
22:34 jberger thanks, plenty still to do
22:35 sri i was just missing worker stats though... since my job queue got corrupted :o
22:35 sri sudden "failed: Worker went away" for a few hundred jobs
22:35 jberger yeah, haven't done any worker stuff on the web end
22:36 jberger sri: I didn't cause it did I?!?!?!
22:37 sri dunno, it's a bit odd, that usually happens when worker health can't be checked with kill 0
22:37 jberger does stats do that?
22:37 sri nope, just ->repair
22:37 jberger I don't touch repair
22:41 Eddy joined #mojo
22:41 jberger also I've been testing using the File backend, if that's any matter
22:42 sri i've tested using the Pg backend
22:42 jberger right, and then things went pop
22:43 sri it's all very odd
22:46 jberger hmmmm, perhaps do you have some hooks that I tripped on?
22:49 sri interesting, i can replicate the problem
22:49 jberger how?
22:52 sri hmm, and now i can't replicate it anymore Oo
22:52 * jberger claims victory and runs away
22:52 sri allright, what i did was clear the entire queue, enqueue 10 jobs, start the monitor, and one worker
22:52 sri the worker would finish one job and then do nothing
22:53 sri the queue had one finished job, and 9 active ones
22:53 * jberger tries
22:55 sri can't replicate it anymore, seen it happen two times
22:56 sri of course i didn't get to see the worker stats :(
22:56 jberger sri: yeah, I tried here and it seems to work fine
22:58 jberger worker stats are next on my plate (after pagination)
22:58 sri hope i just made a mistake
22:59 sri you might also want job details, with worker id
22:59 sri possibly linked to worker stats
22:59 mrEriksson joined #mojo
22:59 sri and a retry button for failed jobs :)
22:59 jberger yeah, that's on my todo list to
22:59 jberger there is a retry button
23:03 sri don't see it
23:05 jberger on the job viewer, at the bottom
23:05 jberger might have to scroll down?
23:07 sri http://i.imgur.com/RvqzKl4.png
23:07 jberger click on an id
23:07 sri oooooh
23:07 jberger :-)
23:08 sri the mouse cursor did not turn into a hand so i didn't realize it was a link ;p
23:08 jberger I don't know why it's doing that
23:09 sri that popup is missing an ok button though :)
23:09 sri [Allright, i don't want to do anything]
23:09 jberger I'm not sure how to close the modal programmatically
23:10 jberger you can click outside or the x or hit escape

23:30 riche guys, wondering why Mojoconf 2015 hasn't been announced yet?
23:31 sri organizers have stepped back
23:31 sri it doesn't look good atm. :(
23:31 riche hm.  does it have to be in europe or is NYC ok?
23:32 sri can be anywhere
23:32 jberger IMO NYC would be awesome
23:34 riche ok. I think I can delegate it to someone.
23:36 riche I think she can start organizing after the 15th.
23:36 jberger \o/
23:41 riche ok.  absolutely confirmed.  she will have to start on it after the 15th or so.
23:42 riche but latest will be the 20th.
23:42 sri one person?
23:42 purl one person is @uqat.uquebec.ca

23:44 riche she will have backup.  And it will be her sole focus.
23:45 sri \o/
23:45 sri can't wait to hear more
23:45 Grinnz making a backend for POE::Loop is a lot more complicated than making a backend for Mojo::Reactor... :P
23:46 riche it's the first one she's run with international attendees, so I made sure she needs to be aware of things like travel packages
23:46 riche and I will get her aligned with nyc.pm when she gets available
23:48 riche anyways, I been looking for the dates for the last few months and didn't see any, so I talked to her last week about it.
23:48 riche Mojoconf was probably the most down to earth, fun conference I been to.
23:50 sri if there's anything the core team can do to help, please don't hesitate to ask
23:51 sri i'm sure the oslo.pm folks will be available for answering questions too
23:51 riche well, she will definitely come up with ideas for that.  And will want to talk to oslo.pm to understand the audience better.
23:53 riche She doesn't write code, but she gets punished with me talking about how awesome Perl is when I have a few... too many
23:57 sri i bet tempire is available for training again if there's interest
23:58 meredith i'm not familiar with organizing conferences, but if something is happening around nyc, that's somewhat accessible from here (the DC area) and i'd be happy to help
23:58 meredith you can pass along my email, mhoward@roomag.org
23:58 sri meredith++
23:58 sri riche++
23:59 riche sounds good.  sri: I had already sent her tempire's web site :).
