11:01 anparker may I ask, what second shift operator is for? https://metacpan.org/source/SRI/Mojolicious-6.61/lib/Mojo/Log.pm#L63
11:02 pink_mist anparker: so that there is at least one argument more to emit, even if @_ is empty
11:02 pink_mist (it'll return undef in that case)
11:03 pink_mist (I've no idea if emit() cares though, but that's what it seems to be doing)
11:05 pink_mist looking at https://metacpan.org/source/SRI/Mojolicious-6.61/lib/Mojo/EventEmitter.pm#L15 the undef will be passed along to the callback
11:12 anparker but there is always at least one argument. log level is passed as first argument.
11:13 pink_mist is that checked?
11:14 anparker nope
11:14 pink_mist oh huh, guess it's internal, so it wouldn't need to be checked anyway
11:14 pink_mist then I dunno? maybe to show it's separate from the other things in @_

12:25 ashimema any tips on apache + hypnotoad configurations.. I'm getting periodic 503 where it seems apache's lost contact with hypnotoad ?
12:26 pink_mist which version of Mojolicious?
12:26 pink_mist are you doing mod_proxy?
12:26 pink_mist or something else?
12:26 ashimema https://ssl.thorsen.pm/paste/c5ac2db7c394 is the relevant bit of my apache vhost
12:27 ashimema just grabbing the mojo version ;)
12:29 ashimema versions: https://ssl.thorsen.pm/paste/3a43723008c3
12:30 ashimema so. 6.56
12:30 ashimema yes. mod_proxy
12:30 pink_mist right, well Mojolicious 6.60 got a fix for connections getting closed too early
12:31 pink_mist which afaik could result in a 503 like you're seeing
12:34 ashimema oh cool

20:23 mgrimes batman: looking at switching to the new version of AssetPack... would you be open to a patch that keeps the urls the same during development?
20:24 mgrimes i use browsersync to reload browers, and changing the name of css files requires a full reload instead of inject.
20:24 batman mgrimes: not sure if i understand
20:25 mgrimes %= asset 'app.css' generates a url with the file hash, great for cache busting in production, but a url w/o the has would be better in developement (for my workflow)
20:34 mgrimes batman: for example, in development just generate href="/asset/screen.css" instead of href="/asset/b5e595281d/screen.css"
21:10 kwa What's the canonical way to embed a Mojolicious application in a standalone Minion job? (So I can reuse db connections etc.)
21:11 kwa I've read about Applicaiton embedding in the Cookbook, but not sure if that's what I want.
21:14 batman mgrimes: i'm very sceptical :(
21:15 batman tried the reload plugin?
21:18 kwa batman: I meant to say about AssetPack, do you have a N.B. when packing CSS regarding the @import rule?
21:19 batman N.B.?
21:19 kwa It was a while ago when we came across it not doing what we expected at $work, and I meant to mention it to you.
21:19 kwa Sorry, nota bena - note well.
21:20 batman yeah, i understand nb, but i don't get what it should be about...
21:20 kwa @import must be at the top of a CSS stylesheet, and if you pack 3x CSS sheets together, and the 2nd one just so happens to @import a font or something, the browser doesn't follow it.
21:21 batman mgrimes: i'm always open for suggestions... but don't do too much work regarding your suggestion... at least not without explaining your workflow.
21:22 batman mgrimes: maybe you should just change $app->asset->route() ?
21:22 batman kwa: that's weird. but i don't work with css, so it might just be a bug.
21:23 kwa https://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/Web/CSS/@import
21:23 kwa batman: ^^ These rules must precede all other types of rules...
21:23 batman i know what @import is :)
21:23 kwa I read a couple of other things on le web which indicated they needed to be at the head of CSS too.
21:23 batman kwa: please make a failing test and open a PR.
21:24 batman a PR doesn't have to be complete. just enough to prove the point.
21:24 kwa It's browser-based though?
21:24 kwa I've not worked with selenium n stuff.
21:24 batman that sounds weird. (about being at the head)
21:24 kwa We tracked it down to that, and I meant to tell you at the time.
21:25 kwa On the same mozilla page: "Added support for <string> to denote the url of a stylesheet,
21:25 kwa and requirement to insert the @import rule at the beginning of the CSS document.
21:25 batman kwa: what i meant: open an issue with sample files + code + description of what's not working
21:26 batman when i reproduce it, i can fix it
21:26 kwa Ah, righto.
21:26 kwa Sorry, I thought you wanted an actualy test.
21:26 kwa :|
21:27 batman yeah. sorry. that was a bad choice of solution :/
21:29 * batman will be back tomorrow
21:29 kwa batman: No problem.
21:41 mgrimes batman: reload plugin is awesome!

22:32 kwa batman: Raised issue for you.
22:47 orev captcha plugin stores string in plaintext in session cookie... :(
23:06 * kwa seems to have answered his own question - just instantiate it!
