09:52 flow hi!
09:53 Sebbe Ahoy-hoy.
09:55 flow I'm stuck once again. Not sure you could help me with this because there might be involved logic of my own
09:57 Sebbe What is up?
09:57 purl the sun!
09:57 Sebbe Clever.
09:58 flow mojolicious deliveres 200 but as content only "HASH(0x131e2a8)" instead of my html.
09:59 flow smells like a scalar context issue but I see and can't find nothing.
10:00 Sebbe flow: Can you create a bit of code that can demonstrate the issue? :)
10:01 flow not yet, stay tuned, just asked beforehand in case you know out of the box making me feel stupid ;)

11:45 flow Oh! I got it.
11:48 flow My inner logic sub that is called in the controller returns key/value pairs to feed into $self->render( ... ).
11:49 flow Unfortunately one of the keys is called 'data' ...
11:49 pink_mist that's going to be an issue yeah :P
11:51 flow dumb idea to call a hash key like that, so good ol' mojo tought me.
11:53 flow "presets" is more meaningful anyway.
11:55 pink_mist yeah, 'data' is one of the least meaningful names you can give to a variable or hash key :P (for ->render() it works though, since it can't know what kind of data you're giving it)
11:56 pink_mist $var might be slightly less meaningful
11:56 pink_mist but not by much
12:00 flow all people have to think as much. There are the ones who foresee problems early and think to solve them beforehand. The rest will have to think after they have stumbled upon these problems. :-D
12:03 flow q.e.d.
12:04 * flow facepalms himself

12:43 jberger flow: there's a complete list of reserved stash keys here

12:44 buu_ What's the right module to use to add template-toolkit templates?
12:45 jberger IIRC it is on cpan as TtRenderer
12:45 jberger Never used it though
12:47 buu_ There's a couple it turns out
12:47 buu_ And also ::Alloy
12:47 buu https://metacpan.org/pod/Mojolicious::Plugin::ToolkitRenderer
12:47 buu https://metacpan.org/pod/Mojolicious::Plugin::TtRenderer::Engine

12:58 buu Hrm
12:58 buu Template::Alloy seems real compelling
13:05 ramortegui joined #mojo
13:40 pink_mist I rather like the Mojo-included EP templates
13:41 pink_mist since there's hardly anything new to learn, just a few small syntax things and then I can use perl

13:48 sri btw. dell laptop keyboards suck
13:49 coolo sri: I guess that's why you have an extra keyboard :)
13:49 sri which is also a dell keyboard!
13:49 purl okay, sri.
13:49 coolo but not a dell *laptop* keyboard :)
13:49 pink_mist last time I used a dell laptop was ... probably 10 years ago ... and they were pretty excellent back then imo
13:49 pink_mist but things change
13:56 buu I hate perl inside templates
13:56 buu just a thing
13:57 buu Also apparently text-xslate is the big winner
14:01 Janos joined #mojo
14:28 flow buu, even <%= $simple_variable %> intrapolation? ;)
14:32 PryMar56 joined #mojo
14:36 flow my templates are hybrid but the logic-part is strictly related to displaying information.
14:38 flow what is the best way to include static html
14:38 flow with layout, I mean?
14:39 flow i.e. html files in the doc/ branch of the hierarchy of my app?
14:40 flow is transparent markdown to html conversion possible with a view lines?
14:41 vicash flow: $c->reply->static('index.html') where index.html is in public/
14:41 flow is then my layout wrapped around?
14:43 flow in my understanding, what lies in the static directory/-ies are never touched this way.

14:58 jamesaxl "res" in Mojolicious::Controller
14:58 jamesaxl res means responD?

15:00 buu What is with all these template systems that thing I want a header.tmpl and a footer.tmpl
15:00 buu It's like 1995 all over again
15:03 pink_mist jamesaxl: response
15:03 purl response is queued somewhere inside DBD::Pg
15:03 pink_mist shush purl
15:04 pink_mist 0_o purl shushed .. did not expect that
15:05 jamesaxl pink_mist, thanks, slackware
15:06 pink_mist jamesaxl: aye =) I recognise you =)
15:07 cfedde rsync and logstash do not mix well.

17:47 jamesaxl in this example http://mojolicious.org/perldoc/Mojolicious/Guides/Tutorial#File-uploads seems like your forgot my $upload = $c->req->upload('example');$upload->move_to('path/foo.txt');
17:49 Grinnz the example looks fine to me
17:55 jamesaxl Grinnz, but you can not upload any file, you are going to get just information about it
18:04 sri wish stickermule allowed me to buy 1000 stickers and send batches of them to multiple people :S
18:21 Grinnz jamesaxl: so you mean there should be another example about how to save the uploaded file?
18:21 Grinnz ->move_to isn't the only way either, you might want to save it to a database, etc
18:41 lluad joined #mojo
18:43 jamesaxl Grinnz, yeah, exactly
19:34 coolo sri: your aura is not universal :)
19:34 coolo https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/278221/file/autoinst-log.txt -> 502 while upload
19:37 sri oh no
19:38 sri well, obviously i'm not close enough to the server right now
19:48 vicash batman: hello. Would you recommend using Mojolicious::Plugin::StripePayment or WebService::Stripe ?
