08:46 sri i assume it's about the HPE/SUSE thing, which has been all over the mainstream news

11:30 sri SUSE is definitely an interesting place to be at the moment :)
11:35 marty joined #mojo
11:58 sri jberger: btw. did you notice that the HPE cloud products came from activestate? :)
11:59 sri think stackato might have had parts written with mojolicious for a time
12:00 pink_mist sri: think you'll be able to convince your boss at SUSE to let you spend time on http2 for mojo? :P
12:01 sri pink_mist: that seems unlikely i'm afraid, at least until it's a requirement for a bigger project like openQA
12:01 jabberwok oh cool.  $ curl -s -XPOST 'https://fastapi.metacpan.org/search/reverse_dependencies/Mojolicious' -d "$(curl -Ls gist.github.com/metacpan-user/5706053/raw/body.json)" | json_pp | grep _score -c
12:02 jabberwok 101 CPAN modules use Mojolicious;.
12:02 sri jabberwok: that seems wrong
12:02 sri more like 641 https://metacpan.org/requires/distribution/Mojolicious?sort=[[2,1]]
12:05 sri Mojo::RabbitMQ::Client is already making its way into openQA :) https://github.com/os-autoinst/openQA/pull/1032
12:05 jabberwok ah
12:06 sri was about time mojolicious had a nice rabbitmq client
12:07 jabberwok https://fastapi.metacpan.org/v1/release/Mojolicious  ... there is a 'provides' key that lists submodules; I wonder if we can get a list of *.pod that would include the Tutorials. Possibly even with a suggested ordering for book printing.

16:45 Grinnz jabberwok: "provides" is for actual perl modules. pod files are indexed separately by metacpan
16:46 Grinnz if you look at https://metacpan.org/release/Mojolicious the "Documentation" section shows these
16:48 rshadow joined #mojo
16:49 jabberwok very good cheers Grinnz
16:50 Grinnz i'm not sure how you would list those in the API, but they're called "files" i believe
16:50 Grinnz you could ask #metacpan

19:08 karjala Mojo::RabbitMQ::Client can't be searched for in MetaCPAN. The #metacpan folks told me it's not their fault exactly.
19:09 karjala "it isn't in 02packages"
19:23 Grinnz the release was not indexed. the email the releaser got should have said why
19:24 Grinnz or i should say, the modules weren't indexed
19:26 Grinnz the dist looks ok to me, maybe it was a temporary issue
19:26 Grinnz the uploader can also request reindexing on pause.perl.org

20:57 Grinnz i can only hope mysql is next (that would be a disaster though)
20:57 preaction eh, solaris isn't terrible, and it brought us zfs, the mother of all file systems
21:17 jabberwok Solaris. memories of pizzabox Sun Sparcstations early 1990s. CDE desktop.
21:24 lluad I kinda liked Solaris. I have a couple of Solaris servers in my rack (though they've been powered down for years - all the solaris stuff I do is sharing VM space with the Linux boxes). I hated Oracle, though.

22:42 Grinnz jberger: looking at https://github.com/lukas2511/dehydrated now (used to be called letsencrypt.sh) as it supports DNS validation where the other clients really don't
22:42 Grinnz its an interesting client
22:43 Grinnz it calls scripts you supply (hooks) for the purposes of placing the challenge data, and deploying the new cert
23:09 disputin joined #mojo
23:18 jberger I was thinking about doing something like that
23:19 jberger I'll take a look later
