00:16 sri hmm, wonder why i didn't just add an xss_button_to helper instead of removing button_to https://github.com/kraih/mojo/commit/1251d418d5e58d08010f14ca3a3f40bbe2580d1d

08:33 sri guess we could also have a separate helper to activate xss protection

09:25 mib_wcyw4d ok figured it out: http://paste.scsys.co.uk/540227

10:06 sri nat, iterm now has a dark mode
10:10 howitdo joined #mojo
10:12 Jonis dark theme? I think it's been there for a while
10:13 sri with a dark title bar
10:14 marcus iTerm is the main thing I'm missing from Linux. Not sure why there's no equivalent. :-/
10:14 Jonis marcus: tried terminator? needs a bit of configuration, but it's pretty decent
10:15 marcus It's ok, but pretty far from the feature set of iTerm.  Tried Hyper yesterday, but it seems like mostly hype :p
10:15 Jonis ;)
10:15 sri yea
10:16 sri i like how tabs look in hyper, but no way i could accept the performance and memory usage
10:17 marcus Also my window manager has great tabs already
10:17 marcus http://i.imgur.com/ZG4CigF.png using gnome-terminal atm
10:17 marcus (without their native tabs)
10:18 Jonis I tried to scroll up in your terminal because I was curious, not having a great brain day
10:19 marcus :D
10:20 marcus using the panel from mate with i3 atm
10:22 dotan_convos +1 to karjala's rainbow dinosaur mojo coffee mug suggestion
10:25 mishanti1 I moved from terminator to gnome-terminal, b/c terminator got weird sometimes when I had a lot of random control characters or binary data scroll by in logs. Not using gnome-terminals panes/tabs though.
10:25 mishanti1 I have yet to find a terminal that comes close to the features of pane / window / session management that tmux has.
10:26 mishanti1 So for me it is [gnome-terminal] -> [tmux] -> $work

12:20 mishanti1 marcus: Trying to get some hosts probed by rand() people on irc? ;)
12:29 sri how good is MojoX::Log::Log4perl?
12:32 mishanti1 sri: I have been fairly pleased with it. Coming from using Log4per in other projects it feels pretty natural and with few (if no) surprises.

19:41 * marty just watched the sci-fi movie 'Edge of tomorrow" and really enjoyed it.
19:42 preaction yeah, that was kind of an amazing movie
19:42 lluad Yeah, it was good. It's a much better movie under the alternate title of Live. Die. Repeat.
19:43 marty Best aliens in a long time and great stunts and wire work.  the soundtrack was great also.
19:44 sri it was ok, not a scifi epic like Arrival though
19:45 marty I have not seem arrival... yet.
19:45 Zen_ how did you guys like Ex machina?
19:45 sri ex machina was awesome too
19:45 * marty liked ex machina
19:47 sri Arrival is this years The Martian, which was last years Interstellar :)
19:47 sri it's a great time for scifi
19:48 irqq joined #mojo
19:56 genio I enjoyed the martian.  Interstellar was fun, too.  Arrival was just... amazing.  On a different level
19:57 genio gravity, on the other hand.... terrible.
19:57 pink_mist passengers seems interesting too
19:58 genio Yes, I want to see that.  The trailers looked pretty good
19:58 pink_mist I preferred gravity over interstellar tbh
19:59 jberger Interstellar I liked for the special effects, but the plot left a little something to be desired
19:59 genio hmm. I could barely make it through the entire movie.
19:59 jberger I loved the Martian, liked the book even better
19:59 jberger Gravity was a thing
20:00 genio The Martian book was really good.
20:00 jberger I did like Ex Machina too, though not quite as much
20:00 jberger it made you think
20:00 genio I haven't yet seen that one
20:00 bpmedley joined #mojo
20:00 jberger but didn't really raise too many questions
20:00 genio actually, yea, I did.  I forgot I saw it.
20:01 jberger Arrival made you think AND actually asked many good questions
20:01 pink_mist also, rogue one was great
20:01 jberger I'm looking forward to that
20:01 genio me, too.
20:01 pink_mist (and I don't want to spoil it for anyone, so I won't be saying much more than that =))
20:01 jberger haven't seen it or Fantastic Beasts yet
20:01 genio I've purposely not watched any trailers or anything for rogue one
20:02 pink_mist I hadn't either
20:02 pink_mist but I watched it on the second screening here
20:02 jberger I'm glad to hear you liked it
20:02 genio I don't think I have heard anything about Fantastic Beasts.
20:02 jberger it was getting good reviews, but nice to hear a real person confirm
20:03 jberger (about Rogue One)
20:04 pink_mist I'm actually going to rewatch it this weekend ;)
20:05 genio I won't have time to go see it this week or next.  We're getting ready to leave for Cuba on Sunday and we'll be there until the 24th. Then, Christmas with the family... After that, I'm sure we'll need some down time from the travel
20:06 genio At least I'll have a good list of 2 or 3 movies to see when we get back
20:07 genio A week without a computer/internet will be refreshing, I hope
20:12 pink_mist oh, have fun =)

21:13 jberger genio get me a cigar!
21:13 genio I actually think we're going to go to see a touristy thing where they make cigars.
21:14 genio I'll see how expensive they are
21:15 Grinnz and they're legal to bring back now!

21:36 mishanti1 Rogue one?
21:37 mishanti1 Oh dear. Thay are making more Star Wars?
21:37 mishanti1 s/ay/ey/
21:37 jberger mishanti1: Disney bought it, there will be a Star Wars movie per year until it isn't profitable
21:37 jberger ride it while the directors/writers care
21:37 mishanti1 jberger: Well, cool. The previous one was awesome.
21:38 jberger there's plenty of story to tell
21:38 jberger as long as they get support and the writers/directors care it is a great thing
21:38 mishanti1 I felt the previous one was more in keeping with the spirit of the old movies, not like the three mediocre fillers.
21:38 jberger and as long as George Lucas is kept the heck away from the thing
21:41 mishanti1 Hm. How about a star wars movie directed by Clint Eastwood?
21:42 lluad From the perspective of the Empire being the good guys?
21:43 preaction also, Disney has been doing 1+ movies per year for Marvel and not completely destroying its profitability, which is more than I can say for Warner+DC
21:43 jberger I like how Marvel movies have been going. Not every movie has to be "end of the world" and it leads nicely to those that eventually are
21:44 mishanti1 lluad: Don't think that would suit him, but perhaps portraying the Sith more nuanced and telling more about what they had to endure.
21:59 marty The force awakens trailer was truly magnificent.  The movie however - I found it to be a big disapointment.

23:39 * sri bugged the rather weak story more
23:40 sri the expanded universe has so many good stories, sucks that disney is only cashing in on nostalgia
23:49 sri argh, in 2017 we'll get a ghost in the shell and a new blade runner movie :S
23:50 pink_mist I still have hopes for the blade runner movie
23:50 sri hmm, blade runner movie has the same director as Arrival :o
23:50 sri yea, i guess that might work out fine
23:57 Grinnz_ joined #mojo
23:58 jberger The planet death star fires once it uses up the nearby star. This means unless it has a pretty powerful motor it can only fire once
23:58 jberger And yet it is gearing up for a second shot at the end of the movie (first shot was in the middle of it)
23:59 jberger If you want to argue that it was a binary star originally, ok
