00:15 jberger Woah! Seriously?!

00:17 mishanti1 jberger: Yup. :)
00:18 mishanti1 jberger: Well, the thing is that I've been using american express to pay for groceries etc, thus earning "frequent flyer miles", plus spending enough throughout the year so they have given me what they call a "companion ticket".
00:18 mishanti1 Which is basically pay for whatever seat you want and bring a friend for free.
00:19 mishanti1 So I spent some frequent flyer points, activated the companion ticket, and paid a small amount (fees+taxes).
00:28 jberger Ok sure, but someone paid for the more expected price
00:30 mishanti1 Absolutely. It is a reason why they make these kinds of cards, and it is not because they are such kind and loving people.
00:30 mishanti1 They make a boatload of money off people who are just not at all able to handle their spendings.

01:12 vicash jberger thanks for the response about hypnotoad earlier, i totally forgot i had asked the question as i got carried away by other bugs in my code
01:12 dvinciguerra joined #mojo
01:17 karjala Are the hypnotoad processes spread out evenly across all CPU cores, or is it random which core each process goes to?
01:18 karjala (under Linux)
01:24 Grinnz that would be up to the OS wouldn't it?
01:26 karjala Maybe
01:26 karjala Still, I have no idea how Linux behaves with this

14:55 genio sri: Travellers on Netflix is pretty good so far if you haven't seen it.  I'm on episode 2, but I'm pleasantly surprised!
14:55 genio I'll see what OA is about next
14:56 sri genio: already seen both :)
14:56 genio s/ll/l/
14:56 sri travellers is ok, nothing special, but entertaining
14:57 genio We've been watching Gilmore Girls and there are so many episodes of that, I haven't had the chance to check out newer stuff yet
14:57 genio witty banter and light-hearted.  My wife twisted my arm, but I'll admit, I like it too
14:58 sri the oa was the biggest waste of time ever, it starts really intriguing, then it gets awful....but you kinda keep hoping for it to get better again... and then it gets worse and worse... the end
14:58 sri i never hated a show as much as i hated the oa
14:58 genio ah. thanks for saving me the time
14:59 genio kind of how I felt about sense 8
15:01 sri honestly, i think netflix is trolling us with the oa... no other explanation for a show starting with a scary scifi mystery and ending in interpretive dance
15:01 sri sense8 is a masterpiece in comparison

15:31 suede sri: I implemented a Mojo::Pg-like migration system in Python because I liked it way more than any of the migration systems already in existence

17:08 jberger I'm finally through the first two seasons of Black Mirror and the White Christmas episode/movie
17:08 jberger man, its so good
17:08 jberger I can't watch too much of it at a time though
17:09 whatitdo joined #mojo
17:11 jberger I have to get through the third season though, because it has become a blocker before I can continue listening to Hello Internet

18:30 mishanti1 The bestest feeling is the feeling when I can remove lines of code.

19:37 sri suede: interesting, but aside from the file format it doesn't look that similar
19:38 * sri considers putting migrations into DATA sections one of the most important parts
19:40 sri suede: actually, i think it's even missing the most important part
19:40 sri which was performing all migrations in one transaction
19:41 sri so if you updated from version 3 to version 24 with 21 migrations in between it would all be one transaction
19:41 sri and if one fails, they all fail and nothing changes
19:41 sri making the whole thing very predictable and easy to manage

20:12 vicash but sri, putting SQL in DATA sections doesn't allow for easy syntax highlightin
20:18 hernan604 editor problem
20:26 jberger honestly, I just `:setf sql` when I'm looking at the migrations in data
20:27 jberger I could probably do it smarter than that, but I work in the schema so rarely
20:32 hernan604 indeed
20:32 hernan604 or :set ft=sql
20:32 hernan604 =p
