14:44 PopeFelix So I have been tasked with converting some of my company's web apps to work asynchronously. We already use Mojo, but one of the core pieces uses Futures (specifically Future::Mojo) to interact with Mojo::IOLoop. Seems to me that means I'm going to want to do Futures all the way down, as it were. Do you guys concur?
14:44 PopeFelix *you folks*

16:14 zen by the :q?
16:19 CandyAngel By the use of Future!
16:19 CandyAngel (I jest, I don't even know what it is)
16:30 Grinnz PopeFelix: usually a good idea so people know to expect futures
16:31 PopeFelix lol CandyAngel
16:32 PopeFelix Yeah, Grinnz , it's just going to be big and gnarly, because it's got to be Futures all the way down.
16:33 simcop2387 PopeFelix: I've just done some of that with Future::Mojo and the $c->delay() helper.  It wasn't too bad for what I was doing.  I isolated the place that was using Futures to do stuff async and then called the callback from the delay helper when those were done.  not sure how well that'll work for you

19:15 arcanez anyone have a recommendation for a kerberos module to do authentication and authorization?
19:15 arcanez can be mojo-agnostic
19:20 trone joined #mojo
19:42 genio arcanez: I tend to handle that diretly via mod_auth_kerb and Apache
19:43 genio Then pass the authed username through the reverse proxy where authorization is taken care of based on the service-specific rules

20:47 arcanez genio: I want to use group membership on the kerberos server to determine access within the app (freeipa).. what do you use within our app?
20:47 arcanez I'd also not use Apache :)
20:47 CandyAngel Hm, is it possible to have one worker pause all other workers (including itself) using broadcast?
