09:23 karjala Has someone posted the source of an example Mojolicious app that uses DBIx::Class? I'm a beginner in DBIx::Class and am wondering what nice ways of integrating these 2 things there are.
09:23 karjala ie what helper classes, etc
09:23 karjala helper methods, I mean

11:15 batman karjala: i would probably do something like $app->helper("db.resultset" => sub { my ($c, $name) = @_; return $app->schema->resultset($name); });
11:17 karjala thanks batman
11:17 karjala Does DBIx::Class have some inbuilt mechanism of pooling DB connections, like Mojo::Pg does?
11:22 batman one schema instance has one connection.
11:28 karjala So maybe I would be better off using Mojo::Pg to create a pool, and grab $dbh's from there to place in schema instances as needed?

13:18 karjala batman, I understand that one schema instance has one connection, but when I discard one schema instance, and after a second create a new one, will that re-use the same connection?
13:18 karjala no
13:18 karjala ok, sorry, silly question
13:18 karjala I'll ask the other channel

15:39 karjala batman, and how do you get $app->schema to equal an dbic schema instance?
15:39 karjala to be a dbic schema instance, i mean
16:17 sri that's something i'd expect to find in the wiki

23:06 _sfiguser hello all  i was learning mojolicious... https://metacpan.org/pod/distribution/Mojolicious/lib/Mojolicious/Guides/Tutorial.pod#File-uploads i tried this example... but it actually didn't upload anything... i expected to have a file uploaded in the application directory...
23:06 _sfiguser instead i don't see anything... so where the file was uploaded  ? or how do i actually do the upload...
23:07 _sfiguser I even tried the example in mojolicious::cookbook
23:07 preaction the upload was done, but you didn't save the file anywhere
23:08 preaction https://metacpan.org/pod/Mojo::Upload <- this is the object you get. use move_to to move it to somewhere that it won't get deleted later
23:25 _sfiguser ok thanks a lot pro
23:25 _sfiguser preaction,
23:25 purl preaction, is it not in the paste? that's all i've got... following tutorials somewhere "package Nextone::Schema::Resultet::cdr_billing;"

23:37 adv_ hi, i'm using Mojo::DOM
23:38 adv_ my $dom=Mojo::DOM->new(); $dom->parse('<text bbox="104.958,686.152,107.456,698.678" font="Arial" size="12.526"> </text>')->all_text;
23:38 adv_ that outputs "" where i need it to output " "
23:38 adv_ is there a workaround?
23:40 arcanez purl: preaction?
23:40 purl preaction is all wrong or i am not wrong at all or has no hair on his knees
23:40 arcanez purl: preaction,?
23:40 purl it has been said that preaction, is it not in the paste? that's all i've got... following tutorials somewhere "package Nextone::Schema::Resultet::cdr_billing;"
23:40 arcanez purl: forget preaction,
23:40 purl arcanez: I forgot preaction,
23:41 arcanez adv_: does ->val return anything different?
23:42 adv_ arcanez, empty
23:42 adv_ i get only spaces
23:44 arcanez ->all_text returns " " for me
23:45 adv_ arcanez, hm?
23:46 arcanez 16:38 < adv_> that outputs "" where i need it to output " "
23:46 adv_ <adv_> sweval: use Mojo::DOM; my $dom=Mojo::DOM->new(); $dom->parse('<text bbox="104.958,686.152,107.456,698.678" font="Arial" size="12.526"> </text>')->all_text;
23:46 adv_ <perlbot> adv_: No output.
23:47 adv_ arcanez, ^
23:47 arcanez I wouldn't trust that
23:48 adv_ on my system too
23:48 Grinnz adv_: what version is your Mojolicious?
23:48 Grinnz all_text was fixed a bit ago
23:49 Grinnz https://metacpan.org/source/SRI/Mojolicious-7.39/Changes#L252
23:49 arcanez perl -MMojo::DOM -le 'my $dom = Mojo::DOM->new; my $all_text = $dom->parse("<text bbox=\"104.958,686.152,107.456,698.678\" font=\"Arial\" size=\"12.526\"> </text>")->all_text; print $all_text . "..."'
23:51 adv_ Grinnz,   Mojolicious (6.61, Clinking Beer Mugs)
