08:37 CandyAngel Hm, I'm sure I saw somewhere an example of using UserAgent to do parallel non-blocking requests but only having X of them active at a time..
08:37 sri in the cookbook
08:39 CandyAngel Ah, that's not the example I've seen, but it'll do :P
08:39 CandyAngel Thankies
08:40 marcus It’s a piece of cake to bake a pretty cake / If the way is hazy / You gotta do the cooking by the book /You know you can’t be lazy!

10:05 Jeky Hello, I'm really new anout mojo.. i'm looking for some working "hello world!" to help myself
10:06 pink_mist did you check the guides?
10:06 pink_mist specifically the tutorial?
10:06 pink_mist http://mojolicious.org/perldoc/Mojolicious/Guides/Tutorial
10:10 Jeky ok, tutorial are a nice start.. I've got a more precise question: I want to undestand exactly how session cookies are signed. i know it is a hmac-sha1 with the application secret.. but the signed contect is the base64 or the json ?!?
10:10 Jeky i'm trying to find out where it is handled without any success
10:12 pink_mist https://metacpan.org/source/SRI/Mojolicious-7.46/lib/Mojolicious/Sessions.pm#L51
10:14 Jeky here signed_cookie is called
10:14 pink_mist it's base64 encoded JSON
10:22 pink_mist perhaps you wanted https://metacpan.org/source/SRI/Mojolicious-7.46/lib/Mojolicious/Controller.pm#L286-287 then?
10:27 Jeky YES !
10:28 Jeky thank you
10:29 bianca joined #mojo
10:32 Jeky may i ask you the last thing that would help me a lot in my work.. could you give me dummy signed cookie with a known secret?
10:34 Jeky I'm just making some (authorized) security tests.. and write a working application just to extract a signed cookie with a known secret will take me some time (since i'm a complete newbie with mojo)

13:12 genio sri: I haven't yet seen the second episode.  I'm planning on watching that this evening
13:14 coolo sri: oh btw - can you believe I can't wait for ST Discovery to air?
13:19 gizmomathboy joined #mojo
13:25 sri coolo: having seen your star trek wall decoration i totally can :)
13:25 coolo it only took like 8 weeks to create
13:26 sri honestly, my expectations for ST Discovery are fairly low though
13:27 sri all the delays can't be a good sign
13:28 coolo Bryan Fuller leaving because CBS wanted it less controversial either
13:31 sri only bad thing about the orville so far is that it's on FOX, so will prolly get the firefly treatment...
13:31 sri would be great if netflix picked it up afterwards
13:32 * coolo is in 'black orphan' atm in between season 1 and 2 - and if the metacritics are true, it only gets better
13:33 sri coolo: oh, i've seen that one, it's fairly consistent
13:34 sri definitely liked it
13:36 foursixnine Orphan Black kind of reminded me to Dark Angel somehow...
13:37 genio I haven't tried that one yet

13:44 jberger Jeky here's a one-liner that will get you started:  perl -Mojo -E 'app->secrets(["mysecret"]); a("/" => sub { $_->session(hello => "world"); $_->rendered(200) })->start' get -v /

18:31 sri <3 btrfs and zypper
18:31 sri first time my opensuse box broke after a tumbleweed update in almost a year
18:32 sri since zypper takes a snapshot before every update all i had to do was "snapper rollback 319", which was the before state

20:17 D Using Minion (backend SQLite), I am able to retry a job from the command line, but not via an app backend call $self->minion->backend->retry_job($jobid)
20:18 D should it work? I may be misunderstanding something
20:23 rickbol joined #mojo
20:24 Grinnz i believe you would do $self->minion->job($jobid)->retry;
20:24 genio "Effective today, EFF is resigning from the W3C."
20:24 genio wow
20:25 Grinnz ? what now
20:25 genio https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2017/09/open-letter-w3c-director-ceo-team-and-membership
20:26 Grinnz in a world of netflix and amazon/google/etc video, drm in the browser is a necessity
20:27 D Woot!  Thanks, Grinnz!
20:27 sri Grinnz: bullshit
20:28 sri netflix shows leak on the internet the minute they are released on netflix
20:28 sri drm does nothing but strengthen closed platforms
20:29 Grinnz yes, and none of this will come about without closed platforms
20:30 Grinnz i hate drm but it's the only way the media industry can work
20:30 preaction now now, netflix shows can take up to an entire day for the scene to capture and encode the whole season
20:30 preaction no, it really isn't
