01:06 CandyAngel So.. today I learned that "\r" isn't ASCII, according to Perl's unpack..
01:06 CandyAngel perl -E 'say length unpack(A => "\r")'
01:09 CandyAngel 0x0e is though, because why not? -.-

06:17 mohawk CandyAngel, i speculate without checking in perl src it's some kind of "printable" subset
06:18 mohawk but the perl src contains all truths

16:18 sri as i see it there are only really two options, keep it the way it is, or get rid of the ioloop attribute in Mojo::Promise and allow non Mojo::Promise arguments for ->all/race

17:10 Grinnz on one hand i can't think of good use cases for promises to use different ioloops, on the other hand i think that flexibility is useful
17:11 Grinnz doing Mojo::Promise->new->done isn't that hard, either
17:11 Grinnz and is clearer as to what's going on
17:11 Grinnz er, ->resolve
17:31 karjala_ Is Mojo::JSON::to_json deterministic when encoding hashrefs?

17:47 Grinnz I believe it sorts keys in recent versions

22:20 mohawk Grinnz, re Promise->all taking non-promises - i'm not keen on having to construct an object when it's not really needed. seems wasteful to me
22:21 Grinnz an object would be constructed regardless
22:21 mohawk i'm referring to Mojo::Promise->all('hi', $promise)
22:21 mohawk i see no reason not to just quasi-resolve the 'hi' straight into the results, like i did in #1177
22:22 mohawk what's your thought?
22:22 Grinnz added complication and removing the ability to use other event loops is plenty of reason
22:24 mohawk i don't see how ability to use other event loops is impacted
22:25 mohawk and this is complication? https://github.com/kraih/mojo/pull/1177/files?w=1#diff-27bd5e0ace07b04f2ba7f5e7ec0115c1R24
22:40 mohawk Grinnz, help me understand :-)
22:49 sri mohawk: the pull request is outdated now and can no longer be merged
22:49 sri and it doesn't look like you've fixed Mojo::Promise->all('foo', 'bar');
