16:16 dj howdy.  I'm wrapping a library with associated binaries that I'd like to have installed in the installsitebin directory.  Is there any provision in Alien::Base for that?
16:37 plicease The philosophy of the AB project has been to not install binaries into the PATH.
16:37 plicease The idea is for Alien modules to provide libraries and tools for building other Perl modules
16:37 plicease but not to change the users environment (at least outside of Perl)
16:39 plicease For example Alien::gmake provides gmake for other Alien modules, but doesn't pollute the end user's PATH as they might not want or expect it
16:40 plicease That said I have seen a couple of Alien modules that wrap executables in the share directory with Perl scripts that essentially does put those executables in the PATH
16:41 dj ok.  Would it be appropriate to add a --bin_dir option to palien so that the user could gain access to those binaries?
16:41 plicease Sure that would make sense.
16:42 dj thanks!
16:42 plicease If you open a PR or issue on App::palien I will do it when I get a chance.
16:48 dj will do
