02:17 genio heh.  http://www.cpantesters.org/cpan/report/1c30625c-fb62-11e5-a88d-40f5fcd2507e
02:20 genio I need to find a freebsd and netbsd machine to test on apparently
02:20 genio http://matrix.cpantesters.org/?dist=Alien-GHTTP+0.001
02:32 plicease I have a FreeBSD and NetBSD VM around somewhere
02:32 plicease may be able to just add amd64- as a prefix like I did for x86_64
02:33 plicease If I remember tomorrow I can try this.
02:37 genio That would be greatly appreciated
02:39 genio http://www.cpantesters.org/cpan/report/ccc8d2bc-fb89-11e5-829f-59a5aef69d38 <-- GNU/kFreeBSD is a bit odd
02:40 plicease yeah I can imagine that debian kfreebsd would confuse it.
02:45 genio maybe it'd do better to just completely replace the old config.sub and config.guess with http://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/config.git/tree/
03:06 genio Yea, I think that will be the best solution, just to update the config with the latest

13:05 plicease if you make the changes to the github repo I can test on those three platforms.
13:58 genio done.
14:46 plicease i was able to install it on all three platforms.  My VMs are 64 bit but I suspect 32 bit should be okay too.
14:47 plicease As a bonus I also tested on cygwin and it works there.  Did not install on Strawberry Perl, but I am not
14:47 plicease too surprised about that.
14:47 jberger what about Linux on Windows Subsystem for Linux ? :-P
14:48 plicease does that work on windows 7?
14:48 jberger actually I say that jokingly, but I really am anxious to try out Alien:: modules on that thing
14:48 jberger I don't think so
14:48 jberger I think it's basically in 10 dev something
14:48 plicease i know you were joking, but at some point i will probably try it
14:48 plicease but i don't have any windows 10 machines
14:48 genio plicease: Thanks a lot!  All the help is very appreciated
14:48 jberger I really am not, I think if that thing works it is a huge step forward
14:49 genio I have a Win10 machine at home.  If I can figure out how to get the linux-y goodness through whatever dev program, I'll test
14:49 plicease if it is workable i could probably just chuck cygwin.
14:50 genio plicease: Better get your free win10 upgrade while you still can
14:51 plicease genio: if you are able to install the linux-y on win10 thing then Acme::Ford::Prefect and Acme::Ford::Prefect::FFI are good basic tests
14:52 plicease or anyone else really ... :)
14:52 genio I'll test that out this evening when I get home
14:53 plicease cool look forward to debugging bug reports :P
14:53 jberger IF it works, it should be identical to Ubuntu
14:53 jberger if it doesn't, it probably isn't fixable
14:54 jberger it is an unmodified Ubuntu userspace
14:58 plicease btw- I dunno if anyone is local to the DC / Baltimore area, but I will be giving a presentation this month at DCBPW
14:58 plicease about Alien::Base and friends
14:58 plicease http://dcbpw.org/dcbpw2016/
14:58 jberger wish i could
14:58 preaction i'll be there
15:00 plicease ah cool I see you are presenting too
