18:49 sawyer steveh: o/
18:50 steveh Hi! Trying to catch me out by being early this time? ;-)
18:50 sawyer The pain is gone, I don't need to lie down, so I'm actually here. Who would've thunk it! :)
18:50 steveh Glad you're feeling better!
18:51 sawyer Thank you. :)

19:00 sawyer steveh: Let's begin then?
19:00 steveh Yes, ok.
19:00 sawyer How's it going?
19:01 steveh I've been distracted slightly from some of the things I wanted to do for 5.25.3, but will have some time tomorrow and plenty on Wednesday too, so it's all on course :-)
19:01 sawyer Excellent. Any questions remaining?
19:01 sawyer Any open issues?
19:01 sawyer You're doing like three releases with the span of a week (not counting RCs) !
19:01 sawyer *within
19:02 steveh I don't think I have any issues with the blead release. The maint releases have a couple of outstanding questions, as you know.
19:03 steveh One thing that came up regarding 5.22.3 was a fix for Coro. I'll trying hard not to put extra things in these maint releases, but I think I wil make the exception for that on the grounds that unlike 5.24, I'm not planning another 5.22 release any time soon.
19:04 steveh *I'm
19:04 sawyer Which commit is that? (The Coro one.)
19:05 steveh The commit in question is 73949fca082fe50bf47755c5ffa328259057ae36, which both leont and davem are in favour of getting into 5.22.
19:05 sawyer I see. Yes, that should be fine.
19:05 sawyer It simply add lvalue-ness.
19:06 sawyer Double check binary compat. I'm never fully certain which change might introduce binary incompatibility.
19:06 sawyer :/
19:06 sawyer But otherwise, I also don't see this as a problem.
19:08 steveh Ok, I'll go ahead with that then after double-checking its safety, and maybe even giving Coro a whirl if it builds on Windows.
19:09 sawyer Hope that works. Don't spend too much time on it. The change is contained.
19:09 sawyer Thank you for staying on top of it. :)
19:11 steveh For 5.24.1 (and 5.22.3 too) I'm still torn on the fix for perl #128528. I need to give it more thought, but I'm leaning towards including it. Again, I don't want to get sucked into pulling in more, but it does seem daft leaving out the only remaining security fix.
19:11 steveh (We do have one security fix in the RC1s already, of course.)
19:11 sawyer I think it's good to add this, as it is also security and relevant.
19:12 steveh Ok, I'll make up my mind in the next few days, after the blead release is out of the way.
19:12 sawyer Alright. Sounds good.
19:13 sawyer I owe you one beverage for all the work you're putting on these. :)
19:13 steveh Nice! :-)
19:13 steveh I still hope to do a new libnet release, but it can wait for the next blead cycle if I run out of time. Otherwise, the blead release looks all good, assuming the smoke signals stay favourable.
19:14 sawyer Excellent. I followed the email thread on the smoke failure.
19:14 sawyer Abe is working on an interface that will allow us to detect when it's a regression or a previous failure.
19:14 sawyer Unfortunately for now we still need to track that manually.
19:15 steveh That would be awesome!
19:15 sawyer That was the focus of his work at the last QAH.
19:16 sawyer Any last notes?
19:16 steveh That's something I will definitely look forward to seeing one day!
19:17 steveh No, I think I'm all set. Will be in touch regarding the maint releases, but the blead release should be fine.
19:17 sawyer Thanks!
19:18 sawyer Alright. I consider this onionsketch done!
