11:42 balo according to my tests, the sun javaee policy agent (3.0) works with openam 11.0 (tested with gf2). Anybody have experience with web policy agents? It's a good news those who'd like to migrate to openam.
12:09 aldaris the 3.0 jee agents are using so old clientsdk that you can run into waay too many looping bugs
12:13 balo i see. it should be just a temporary solution. The agents will be upgraded as well, just (at least one) client uses java 5...
12:13 aldaris burn with fire
12:13 balo +1 :)
12:14 MegaMatt At least it's not 1.4.2
12:15 MegaMatt Always look on the bright side of life.
12:16 balo ooo, we have one of those too. with IBM JDK1.4 :) but they use webagent for this
12:17 MegaMatt oO
12:17 aldaris gotta love enterprise
12:22 balo yep. I'm planning move to ruby. I already passed the interview and the test yesterday at my (hopefully) new workplace.
12:23 balo So no I just have to wait... I picked an another ruby company too, maybe I will try that too.
12:26 MegaMatt ... DEBUG.err("blah"); .. in my CAM module... I thought would go to debug/Authentication log........
12:30 MegaMatt I must not have triggered it, .. I guess ;)
13:46 kim__ Do OpenAM support tcp keepalive? The connections between OpenAM and OpenDJ get dropped by the firewall if OpenAM has been running for to long (hours) without any traffic
13:46 aldaris MegaMatt how did you create the Debug instances?
13:47 MegaMatt Good question...
13:47 aldaris kim__ most likely it will work just fine, just make sure the psearch is reset before the timeout period
13:48 MegaMatt I actually just saw it was logging other things using DEBUG.err ... so I threw another statement in a spot that I wanted it... and it compiled fine ;)
13:51 MegaMatt It turns out the logging I needed was already provided by setting my debug to message though... so even though my event didn't seem to get triggered, I found the debug info I wanted ;)
13:52 kim__ aldaris: where do i find the persistent search reset time in the console?
13:53 aldaris somewhere, I don't set it :)
13:54 MegaMatt probably under sites and servers somewhere
13:55 MegaMatt for your server
13:57 MegaMatt sites & services -> server -> SDK -> Event Service
13:57 MegaMatt Specifies which event connection (persistent search) to be disabled. There are three valid values - aci, sm and um (case insensitive). Multiple values should be separated with ",". (property name: com.sun.am.event.connection.disable.list)
13:59 kim__ thnaks
14:33 balo related http://stackoverflow.com/questions/20123493/is-java-1-4-64-bit-supported-in-windows-7-x64
14:34 MegaMatt Heh, Java 1.4 isn't supported anywhere anymore
14:34 MegaMatt It's EOSL :)
