16:34 MegaMatt I have a quick question about policy agent
16:34 MegaMatt In the PA bootstrap there's an encryption key for the password I guess... I'm wondering how/where this key comes from?
16:36 MegaMatt I think I have my own answer by reading http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E19575-01/821-0334/ggilk/index.html

17:57 balo good stuff
17:58 balo i had trouble with changing the password of amadmin. but it's not recommended :/
18:00 balo i could change the pass of the user and the cfg store. but no luck with the bootstrap file
18:00 MegaMatt I've seen where white space after a password in the config files can cause hard to find problems...
18:05 balo yeah, but I just couldn't manage to encode the new password in the right format
18:05 MegaMatt That would be bad too ;)
18:05 balo read a bunch of mail about it and this issue is releveant too: https://bugster.forgerock.org/jira/browse/OPENAM-1224
18:06 balo but in general, still not recommended to change the password of amadmin after configure
18:07 balo could be hardcoded a lot of place

20:43 bthalmayr it's possible to change amadmin password ... no issue ... it's not used in the bootstrap file and it's not hardcoded anywhere, even 'amadmin' can be changed
20:55 balo i know, i read in the docs. but it didn't really worked for me
20:55 bthalmayr strange it worked well for me
20:55 balo couldn't start, just throwed an exception about the bootstrap file
20:55 bthalmayr amadmin and bootstrap file are not related
20:57 balo maybe i will give it another try.

21:01 balo bthalmayr : ^^ I referred to this mail
21:03 aldaris1 lol I'm being quoted now :)
21:04 MegaMatt btw, I'm trying to find a list of all files you have to change if you wanted to add your own language to openam - I don't think one exists yet.. just an example for Login.jsp .. is that right?
21:04 aldaris there aren't too many files involved when it comes to UI localization
21:05 aldaris amAuth and amAuthUI properties are the main ones, authentication modules (amAuth*) can also display their own localized error messages
21:05 aldaris and there are the callback descriptor XMLs
21:05 MegaMatt ok
21:12 MegaMatt The one page I don't see is the EndUser page
21:12 MegaMatt everything else I see in /config/auth/default/
21:12 aldaris the EndUser page grabs most of its localization (the names of the fields) from the amUser.xml
21:13 aldaris that has a corresponding i18nFile
21:15 MegaMatt I guess I expected to see amUser.xml in the default_es or something like that then
21:15 MegaMatt or default_language dirs rather I should say
21:15 MegaMatt although it's not auth, so makes sense
21:15 aldaris it's not there, it's a service definition
21:16 aldaris the code differentiates console UI and authentication UI
21:19 MegaMatt I wish that was in the documentation :/
21:20 MegaMatt Maybe time to file a doc bug
21:20 MegaMatt and get them to really say all the files needed to localize
21:20 aldaris it all depends on the requirements of WHAT you actually want to localize
21:20 aldaris plus EndUser is considered as obsolete, as the XUI will replace that one..
