18:26 jsm when performing a rest API call, i keep getting: { "errorMessage": "Invalid Domain Alias" }
18:26 jsm what does that mean exactly?
18:39 jjpp one way to find out would be to find translation key and scan source for it
18:55 jsm jjpp: i checked here, http://sources.forgerock.org/browse/openam/trunk/openam/openam-forgerock-rest/src/main/java/org/forgerock/openam/forgerockrest/authn/RestAuthenticationHandler.java?r1=5604&r2=5666, but that doesn’t help me much

20:57 aldaris jsm have you found it yet?
20:57 jsm aldaris: no, i am still having the same problem
21:01 aldaris did you define realm in the request?ű
21:01 aldaris
21:02 jsm aldaris: no, i was performing this request, as defined in the documentation: curl  --request POST  --header "X-OpenAM-Username: user"  --header "X-OpenAM-Password: password"  --header "Content-Type: application/json"  --data "{}"  http://localhost:8080/openam/json/authenticate
21:03 jsm http://docs.forgerock.org/en/openam/11.0.0/dev-guide/#rest-api-auth
21:13 aldaris then possibly you have two realms defining the same DNS/Realm alias
21:19 jsm aldaris: i only have one realm, this is a fresh install
21:21 aldaris oh
21:21 aldaris why are you using localhost?
21:21 aldaris that doesn't sound like a good idea..
21:24 fatbloke joined #openam
21:25 jsm aldaris: for testing purposes, i have the same problem when using the fqdn
21:25 aldaris because you are most likely not using the same fqdn as what you used to set up openam
21:26 jsm aldaris: i’ve tried both, same issue
21:28 aldaris which version of openam?
21:37 jsm 11.0.2
21:51 jsm aldaris: you were right, i hide a typo in the hostname :(
