12:44 insanidade hi all. anyone available for a few questions ?
12:44 asyd go ahead
12:46 insanidade After a few visits to this channel and lots of document reading, I was able to install openam and protect some j2ee apps behind of  it. It's pretty easy once you know how to do it :_)
12:47 insanidade For retrieving users and roles, I've used that single default database openam offers. It works pretty fine.
12:48 insanidade Now I have a new mission: I have to retrieve data from two different sources (that single DB and, let's say, an ldap server) so that I combine information from both sources and then generate the authentication data my app requires.
12:48 insanidade first of all: does that make sense?
13:07 jjpp hello.
13:08 * jjpp thinks . o O ( and congratulations on release. :) )
13:08 jjpp and.. aldaris has already left te building. hm.
13:09 asyd insanidade: you should consolidated data in a LDAP server (another instance by example)
13:09 asyd insanidade: are you aware about openidm?
13:11 insanidade asyd: yes. I haven't tried it yet but I'm aware of it. My only option for the time being is openam, and two sources of data is a  customer requirement: one datasource for username/password and ldap for groups/organizations
13:11 asyd there is also LSC
13:13 insanidade is it possible to configure two datasources in openam?
13:45 asyd sure
13:46 asyd but i don't think it work as you expect

15:57 insanidade well,I need to use LDAP for username/password authentication and, once authenticated, I'd use my local database for mapping roles to that user (authenticated in the first step of the chain)
16:05 insanidade you see problems with that scenario ?
16:20 asyd yeah
16:20 asyd but you should give a try

18:39 insanidade anyone here developing code using openam's api for defining a particular way of authentication?
18:48 insanidade I'm creating a custom authentication module and I'd like to understand how openam sends back to teh agent a list of subjects.
