04:45 fairuz Hi, I see this sentence on the COnfigure Oauth2/OpenID Connect Service page, "..The purpose of this policy is to redirect clients to the OpenAM login page to authenticate a resource owner each time they go to the authorize end point..."
04:45 fairuz Is it still possible to not have any page at all? Since I have an API that is backed by OpenAM for auth

07:53 fairuz morning asyd
08:04 fairuz I'm using OpenAM for my API authentication and authorization. I wonder if OpenAM can provide more information upon authentications apart from the tokenId (ex: the role of the user)?
08:05 fairuz and do I need to register my API resources to OopenAM? so it can handle the authorization?
08:13 asyd sorry i dont have experience with oauth and openam
08:15 fairuz I wonder if I should just use openAM rest apis
08:15 fairuz I manage to authenticate using that, but no idea how to proceed for the authorization

11:26 kala what session attributes can I retrieve from the JSON-style interface? http://docs.forgerock.org/en/openam/12.0.0/dev-guide/index/chap-rest.html#rest-api-session-information gives just some examples, but not the list
11:26 kala for example, how to find out, which user is associated with the session?
11:27 kala oh, found it

13:00 aldaris fairuz: use the password grant, not authorization code/implicit grants

13:31 prasannaa my yahoo ....
13:32 jjpp hi.
13:32 prasannaa tried to reply to reply ... but my messgae was not posted ... in the mailing list ...maybe i am doing something wrong
13:35 prasannaa i just got a mail in my spam box
13:35 prasannaa my message needs moderator approval
13:37 prasannaa maybe thats the reason why my email was not listed
13:39 MegaMatt Maybe you’re too newly subscribed
13:42 jjpp aldaris: MegaMatt: does openidconnect and failure to parse google's jwt keys ring any bells to you?
13:44 jjpp it seems that it parses keyset and then generates a new JSON string and tries to parse that again but fails to generate proper JSON. it has "alg": sig (yes, without quotes)
13:45 aldaris which version?
13:45 jjpp (and of course I have weird mix of components because of trying to backport module from 12.0.0 to some 11-based version)
13:45 aldaris there were some recent commons issues around jwt reconstruction
13:45 jjpp has there ever been a version with bug like that?
13:45 jjpp okay
13:46 jjpp so it might help to take a bit fresher version of that jar?
13:46 aldaris prasannaa: sounds like something is still isn't quite right then, if you look at the source of the sent message do you see the right "From" header value?
13:58 MegaMatt prasannaa: Looks to me like your email just went through
13:59 prasannaa how am i to test it in the mailing list?
13:59 MegaMatt I can see it
14:00 fairuz joined #openam
14:00 jjpp you can probably see it in public web archive as well
14:00 MegaMatt You sent an email talking about PAP
14:00 prasannaa yes i do see ... but inb the wrong place
14:01 prasannaa yes ... but this had got posted in as new post :(
14:03 MegaMatt Some weird link to nabble in it too,.. maybe you replied in nabble and not on the actual mailing archive?
14:07 prasannaa ohhh
14:14 prasannaa my first por to the mailing list in a wrong place
14:14 prasannaa post to the mailing list*
14:14 MegaMatt Not a big deal
14:25 prasannaa i had posted only from the mailing archive
14:26 prasannaa but it does not go to the correct thread
14:33 aldaris doesn't matter :)
14:36 prasannaa i thought getting a reply from Tim ... incase if he was able to find a solution ... because his problem and mine are the same

16:02 testingid Hi is there any procedure to recover a user login if the user forgets this value?
16:07 aldaris most likely no
16:08 testingid so should I develop a module to recvoer uid?
16:08 aldaris you meant forgotten username?
16:09 testingid yep
16:09 aldaris I don't believe we have an OOTB solution for that
16:09 aldaris so most likely custom code, yes
16:11 testingid ok any recomendation to do this?
16:43 testingid is there any difference between password reset legacy  and User Self Service - Forgotten Password?
16:43 testingid what is the best choice to wirk with?
