02:24 hemebond When I try to log into a remote service provider OpenAM just hangs on login (the POST).
02:24 hemebond I can login to the console just fine.
02:25 hemebond I can't see much in the debug log except:
02:25 hemebond amLoginViewBean:02/25/2015 03:16:51:382 PM NZDT: Thread[ajp-0.0.0.0-8009-8,5,jboss]
02:25 hemebond WARNING: Input URL is not standard www URL.
02:25 hemebond Where else can I look for clues?
02:26 aldaris if it just hangs then probably you should look at jstack
02:28 hemebond I'll have a test to make sure it is just hanging and not just timing out.
02:36 hemebond Doesn't even appear to be connecting to the LDAP user store.

02:49 Topic for #openam is now Chat about the OpenAM project - https://backstage.forgerock.com/#/downloads - OpenAM 12.0.0 is out! OpenAM 11.0.2 is out! Channel logs at: http://irclog.perlgeek.de/openam/today
02:51 hemebond aldaris: To clarify, OpenAM itself doesn't hang; it's just the login request that seems to hang but really it's like it's gone nowhere. I can use the OpenAM console in one tab while the request to login to a remote service provider is sitting there waiting for a response.
02:53 aldaris artifact binding?
02:56 hemebond Thanks, will have a look.

10:32 msarmadi hi every 1
10:32 msarmadi any one here familiar with openam licensing?
10:32 msarmadi I read it is opensource
10:33 msarmadi but it's a Sun's  Open Source, CDDL
10:34 msarmadi I'm wondering using part of the code in another project is eligable or not? If so, should the project be with the same licensing scheme, CDDL, or not?

14:34 HibernateStump Folks I have4 a problem someone has trashed the bootstrap file for our openam server to zero bytes... we are unable to connect to the opendj instances what is the best way of recovering the bootstrap properties file... trying to to install ssoadm
14:37 MegaMatt restore from file backup? it has the encoded directory manager pw in it
14:38 MegaMatt or recreate it by hand
14:39 MegaMatt I think you can still follow this: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E19681-01/820-3740/ggeoz/index.html
14:53 aldaris create it by hand or copy it from other working servers?
14:53 MegaMatt Or restore from tape, all valid.

17:10 MegaMatt dejavu?
17:10 aldaris something is wrong with the matrix?
17:12 HibernateStump ahh the very person
17:15 HibernateStump um the bootstrap file has an encrypted password, we dont have a backup i have been told no snap shots no nothing, we do have the ssoadmin tools and ssoconfigurator tools we know what the opendj master password is can er recreate a bootstrap file..|?
17:15 aldaris yes
17:15 aldaris https://github.com/aldaris/amutils
17:15 aldaris clone it
17:15 aldaris mvn clean jetty:run
17:15 HibernateStump from the CLI sorry for numpti question how would i do it.. been up since 5am and might need some hand dolding
17:16 HibernateStump #holding evan
17:16 HibernateStump just looking
17:16 aldaris then there is the encryption decryption section on the page
17:16 aldaris use default encryption key
17:17 aldaris then provide the amadmin password
17:17 aldaris the end result should be url encoded afterwards
17:18 MegaMatt I wonder, couldn’t you also just install another instance and copy the bootstrap file?
17:18 aldaris yes theoretically you could
17:18 HibernateStump MegaMatt: I think that is another option we are looking at...
17:19 MegaMatt You can install pretty quickly, might be faster than trying to build amutils with java 8 ;)
17:19 HibernateStump ok install would be good, can you point me to a quick install guide, i am sorry.... i have to snapshot the opendj server.. as well
17:19 aldaris oh yes, sorry about that :)
17:21 MegaMatt umhttp://docs.forgerock.org/en/openam/11.0.0/install-guide/ ?
17:21 MegaMatt um .. http://docs.forgerock.org/en/openam/11.0.0/install-guide/ ? ;)
17:21 MegaMatt Basically you just make sure the container is ready appropriately, and deploy the war
17:21 MegaMatt Very easy to install
17:21 HibernateStump thanks you i do appreciate it, :-)

20:31 balo aldaris: any dependency version recommendations for the 3.3.4 webagents?
20:32 aldaris nss/nspr versions I've already told you
20:32 aldaris and libxml2 2.9.2
20:32 aldaris pcre wasn't updated afaik
20:34 balo ok, thanks
20:34 balo just to check, nss-3.16.3-with-nspr-4.10.6.tar.gz right?
20:34 aldaris and I would urge you to build your iis 6 agent based off 3.3.4
20:35 balo yeah, i'm doing that now :)
20:35 aldaris http://irclog.perlgeek.de/openam/2015-02-16#i_10123408
20:41 balo gotcha
20:47 MegaMatt Is there a snapshots of webagents that doesn’t use nss/nspr yet??? <eg>
20:47 balo i downloaded the 4.0.0 nightly the other day and the iis6 agent's deps dll looked differently
20:48 balo i mean they were fewer dlls there and a much bigger extension dll
20:48 balo is the Agents-3.3.4 public?
20:49 balo it looks empty for me :(
20:49 balo svn co --non-interactive --trust-server-cert -q "https://svn.forgerock.org/openam/tags/Agents-3.3.4/" agents
20:50 MegaMatt ooh, the 3.3.4 agents are on backstage now!
20:50 aldaris there were some issues creating the tag
20:50 _david__ joined #openam
20:51 MegaMatt I feel like there should be a big announcement of 3.3.4 that I missed.. heh
20:51 aldaris that will happen tomorrow hopefully
20:52 aldaris balo: I'll check with our release engineer to see if it can be fixed
20:53 balo many thanks!
