08:17 auke- Good morning. Are the patches for the latests security advisory (especially #201601-01) available as maven artifacts in the private forgerock repository? I can't find the patched version of openam-clientsdk for OpenAM 12.

10:12 aldaris auke- no
10:13 aldaris we do not publish the patched Maven modules
10:52 auke- Okay... why not? Now i have to apply the patches manually to code i don't have. When the patched artifact (e.g. openam-clientsdk-12.0.1-patchX.jar) was published (to the private forgerock repository) i only have to change the version number in de dependency declaration.
10:52 aldaris because this requirement never really came up
10:53 auke- ah, okay. thanks!
10:53 aldaris but I'm not sure you should worry about this either. I do not believe we've released anything specific for the ClientSDK
10:53 aldaris the only valid usecase for this would be customers using maven-overlay plugin
10:54 aldaris that I could understand
10:55 auke- We use (a modified version of) the distauth component, which depends on openam-clientsdk
10:55 aldaris god, why :)
10:56 auke- havn't found time to migrate to the XUI :/
10:56 aldaris so what do you modify on DAS?
10:58 auke- just some styling and we added a bit of logging
10:58 aldaris please raise a support ticket for the logging
10:58 aldaris we would be happy to have better logging and not require customers to patch our products
10:58 aldaris especially since customers can't be trusted :)
10:59 auke- and we wanted to deploy the login functionality without exposing OpenAM interfaces
11:06 jjpp aldaris: in what form is the username in case of windows desktop sso?
11:07 jjpp something like username@addomain or can it be DN in ad aswell?
11:07 aldaris WindowsDesktopSSO.java
11:07 jjpp setPrincipal(user.toString()); :)
11:07 aldaris I know you are just being lazy :)
11:08 jjpp user is GSSUser from GSSContext
11:08 jjpp sorry, GSSName from GSSContext
11:08 aldaris if (!returnRealm) {
11:08 aldaris so I guess the user with the realm or without it
11:10 jjpp okay. so no easy way to get dn of the user from that module.
11:30 jjpp hm. http://bugster.forgerock.org/jira/browse/OPENAM-6493
11:32 jjpp is there a reason for not implementing setting username in shared state instead?
11:32 aldaris it should be possible imo
11:33 jjpp yeah, i think so as well. but the issue requests something weird instead.
11:33 aldaris yepp, it's probably incorrect..
11:36 jjpp added a little useless comment there.
11:40 aldaris thanks
