16:00 techtenk Hey guys, I am getting this error: "Failed to get configuration file:OpenSSOAgentBootstrap.properties" and I suspect that I have .amAgentLocator in the wrong folder, or have the wrong path inside it -- where is it expected to be?
16:03 MegaMatt Did you set -Dopenam.agents.bootstrap.dir  ?
16:03 techtenk no, not explicitly
16:04 techtenk I should point that to the directory where OpenSSOAgentBootstrap.properties is?
16:04 MegaMatt path/to/j2ee_agents/Agent_xxx/config
16:04 techtenk ok thanks, let me try that
16:07 techtenk cool, that fixed that problem, onto the next one :) thanks MegaMatt!

17:31 techtenk I restarted OpenAM and now it takes me back to the initial configuration page.. How can I point it at an existing configuration?
17:31 aldaris which container are you using?
17:32 techtenk Websphere 8.5 within Rational Software Architect
17:32 aldaris boo :)
17:32 aldaris I think that should work though
17:32 aldaris one way would be to update bootstrap.properties in the WAR
17:32 aldaris you could also set a JVM property as well
17:33 aldaris -Dcom.sun.identity.configuration.directory=/foo/bar
17:33 techtenk haha, I could change if I needed, it's just what I had available... I'm trying to learn SSO, specifically how to use TAI in Websphere Liberty Profile
17:34 aldaris that sounds like hell to me :)
17:36 techtenk I've spend a couple weeks on it, but I think I'm getting close. Gonna try updating bootstrap.properties, that sounds easy enough
17:36 aldaris that should be only necessary though, if your deployment directory constantly changes
17:36 aldaris (i.e. the location where websphere extracts/explodes the WAR file)
17:39 techtenk yeah I didn't understand why it got cleared. I didn't change the deployment directory... I figured that maybe it redeployed it when I restarted RSA and cleared something

19:45 techtenk I'm getting this now: Can't find bundle for base name amAgentCore, locale en_US... looks like the .properties files under /path/to/j2ee_agents/locale should be on the classpath, and I tried that but I'm still getting the error
19:47 MegaMatt same as https://lists.forgerock.org/pipermail/openam/2013-August/033886.html ??

19:50 techtenk yeah I was looking at that one and it sounds like he's saying it's a permission problem but I made sure the permissions were good
19:50 techtenk I'll triple check
19:54 techtenk yeah permissions are good. But he's saying that he changed it inside the "xml" .. I'm guessing server.xml, which leads me to believe he added it to classpath and that's what I was trying

20:29 techtenk ok I found someone saying they put the files from locale inside the agent.jar file and that worked. I tried that and got past that error
20:43 techtenk yay! no errors in the logs, and a HTTP 403 returned... now I just have to figure out how to authorize my user id
