07:32 abyss aldaris: I found something like this: https://ludopoitou.com/2011/05/10/opendj-quick-replication-setup/ Do you think it is OK for production env? With such working solution I have whole OpenDJ configured (then I have only set up LB;)).
07:32 abyss BTW: I'm still unable to working on this because of many other commitments :/
07:32 aldaris so you are using external DJ then?

07:45 abyss aldaris: errr yes, I need klaster;)
07:45 abyss *cluster
07:45 abyss (sorry I used in my language word :D)
07:46 aldaris right, then probably Ludo's blog will give you a good starting point
07:46 aldaris the docs are pretty good about replication IIRC
07:47 abyss aldaris: I think we spoke about external because embedded is even not recommeded on production (red warning during installation:)) and can't be replicated, yes?
07:48 abyss aldaris: yeah, I know, but I have a little time and Ludo's blog gives me a working solution:) Then I have to make openam to work with others openams :) Perfect! ;)
07:50 abyss aldaris: so, I do steps from Ludo's blog (install opendj) then I set up LB which balance traffic on that two opendjs, next I set up two openams and then set up LB for those openams, yes? It is so easy?
07:52 abyss As we spoke I don't need session failover (at this moment)
07:54 aldaris when you set up the second AM you should use the Add Server to existing deployment option
08:02 abyss It sounds super easy... To such a large documentation hahah :) Thank you very much :) BTW: "Add Server to existing deployment option" you mean that: https://backstage.forgerock.com/#!/docs/openam/13/install-guide/chap-install-core#add-servers-to-site
08:02 aldaris probably yes
08:03 abyss BTW: I don't understand why openam have to see others openams since its configuration is in opendj;)
08:03 aldaris it's called crosstalk
08:03 aldaris if you created a session on serverA, serverB will talk to A to get info about that session
08:07 abyss I thought to keep session is responsible core token service which I omit in my installation (because I don't want session failover because I don't want complicate whole installation because of such little time)?
08:07 abyss please say if I ask too much and just say: go RTFM
08:09 abyss I'd like to know as much as possible in the fastest way because of given time for me to install such a solution. But ofcourse everything is in doc. So please jus say, then I will go set up that solution to production and then read documentation (lol;))
08:12 abyss aldaris: ok, thank you very much for help. You clear my path and now I see light in tunel :)
08:23 aldaris crosstalk is there to ensure that your system works as expected if there was a misrouted request or your LB is non-sticky. CTS is there to ensure that server failover won't interrupt your sessions
08:38 abyss aldaris: oh, ok thank you.

10:30 abyss aldaris: errr, hi;) As I can see openam 13 supports mysql it is good news for me. But it is reliable? It's replace opendj at all?
10:32 abyss aldaris: it is possible I'd like to avoid opendj because I don't know this solution at all (ldap as well). So mysql would be a better solution for me.
10:32 aldaris database as a data store is a very risky thing with OpenAM
10:33 aldaris JDBC authentication module does appear to work
10:33 aldaris but I wouldn't put much trust into the data store impl
10:34 abyss why? Because openam not support well mysql?
10:34 aldaris yes
10:34 aldaris OpenAM primarily was written to work with directory servers
10:38 abyss aldaris: it is possible to find somewhere that mysql is not recommended? I'd like to show this to my supervisor that better not to go this way... You know when he will read this on official site rather hearing it from me would be better proof;)
10:44 aldaris https://backstage.forgerock.com/#!/docs/openam/13/admin-guide#sec-data-stores-db
10:46 abyss oh thank you I was looking in bad page: https://backstage.forgerock.com/#!/docs/openam/13.5/install-guide/chap-install-core . Here I didn't even see database storage :D
10:52 abyss aldaris: we are looking for alternatives because I said that one day is not sufficiet amount of time to introduce this on production ;)
10:53 aldaris I thought that's what agile is all about :)
10:55 abyss I'm not work in agile style;p But I'm agile ;p
10:55 abyss ;)
10:56 abyss aldaris: yes, it is possible to make it but we want to introduce new solution to client production - not tested, lack of backups etc. So it is a bit risky :D
