09:28 jjpp hi
09:29 jjpp is it just me or there is no unauthenticated goto-url validation service over http ("rest")?
09:29 jjpp there is validateGoto action for users resource. but that code assumes that one has a session

13:19 jjpp hm
13:19 jjpp http://maven.forgerock.org/repo/releases/org/forgerock/commons/guava/forgerock-guava-eventbus/18.0.3/forgerock-guava-eventbus-18.0.3.pom -- is it just me or has this went private lately?
13:20 jjpp s/went/gone
14:47 KermitTheFragger jjpp: https://forgerock.org/topic/maven-forgerock-org-problem/
14:48 KermitTheFragger first GIT, then Maven... won't be long and you are not even allowed to access the frontpage of forgerock anymore ;-)
14:48 asyd jjpp: it's no more opensource, that's all ;p

15:31 FireBurn|Work I'm trying to build OpenAM 13 from source but I keep getting this error:  Non-resolvable parent POM for org.forgerock.openam:openam:13.0.0: Could not transfer artifact org.forgerock:forgerock-parent:pom:2.0.6 from/to forgerock-internal (http://maven.forgerock.org/repo/internal): Not authorized , ReasonPhrase:Unauthorized. and 'parent.relativePath' points at wrong local POM @ line 50, column 13 -> [Help 2]
15:31 asyd FireBurn|Work: https://forgerock.org/topic/maven-forgerock-org-problem/
15:31 asyd maybe someone should update the topic
15:31 FireBurn|Work Ah thanks
15:34 jjpp also, wasn't the 14 about to be released?
15:34 asyd jjpp: I guess they're waiting to be sure to closed every public repository ;p (joke)
15:35 jjpp asyd: these jokes.. seem less and less funny with every action from fr.. :(
15:35 asyd I known
15:35 jjpp ..with every next.. that is
15:57 KermitTheFragger i'm stil putting my money on that after the OpenAM 14 release everything will be business as usual
15:58 KermitTheFragger I think they're just prepping everything for the release
15:59 asyd by preparing you mean close
16:00 KermitTheFragger naaah I don't think they are going to close the source
16:01 KermitTheFragger would be kinda hard with the existing CDDL code they are not the owner of....or they must have replaced all of that...
16:14 jjpp KermitTheFragger: technically they only need to give the source tho those parties that got the binaries?
16:15 jjpp s/tho /to
16:19 KermitTheFragger jjpp: hmm true but that would be the case even in a trial version
16:19 KermitTheFragger and those parties would also be allowed to distribute the source
16:19 KermitTheFragger technically they are only compelled to give the files the don't own so they could release a swiss cheese; The thing doesn't have to build
16:20 asyd i think FR have the intellectual property of the whole files
16:20 KermitTheFragger but if they would really be that hostile to releasing the source I don't think there is much point in compelling them; I would just move on
16:20 KermitTheFragger asyd: some of the files are Sun / Oracle. Some are 100% FR
16:21 KermitTheFragger they only have an obligation for the Sun / Oracle files
16:21 jjpp can't remember if we did sign anything before contributing.
16:22 jjpp but yeah, it would not make sense to give non-compiling set of files. but they probably can relicense their own parts so that the clients can't redistribute those..
16:22 KermitTheFragger jjpp: FR doesn't seem to have a contributer agreement: https://forgerock.org/projects/contribute/
16:22 KermitTheFragger "Any contribution you make will always be under license. You can also assign the copyright if you wish."
16:23 KermitTheFragger yeah so if they really don't want to release the source anymore they have more then enough tools to do so
16:23 KermitTheFragger ...or to make something that has no practical use
16:24 jjpp one can only wonder why they should want to do that to themselves.
16:25 asyd ah, no contributer agreement? really strange
16:25 KermitTheFragger usually a knee-jerk reaction to some perceived threat
16:25 jjpp but we obviously cannot see their POV, so .. there probably are The Reasons. for someone at least.
16:26 KermitTheFragger yeah, everyone always has reasons ;-)
