01:05 Procule Are there a specific OID domain that I can use to add attributes in ldap ?

10:46 FireBurn|Work Hi I'm trying to rebuild OpenAM from source, I've managed to get most of the poms I needed from my other machines .m2 directories but I'm stuggling to find org.forgerock.openam:javadoc-utils:pom:1.0.0 and com.sun:tools:jar:1.7
10:47 FireBurn|Work Would anyone be willing to share the files I need? I believe they're licenced under the CDDL

12:07 KermitTheFragger FireBurn|Work: I would if I had them, sorry
12:08 aldaris FireBurn|Work do you need the javadoc-utils pom only?
12:09 aldaris com.sun:tools:jar:1.7 is just a system dependency, it doesn't actually exist in any Maven repository
12:10 aldaris Procule, you'll need to get your own OID from IANA for your own purposes
12:11 FireBurn|Work aldaris: I think so - I've got it building with -Dmaven.javadoc.skip=true but I'd like to go back to the full build I was doing before
12:13 aldaris let me put it up somewhere
12:14 aldaris https://pastebin.com/5ZJNB6je
12:17 aldaris if you can herd together all the POM files and dependencies to a small Maven repo, I would ask you to share it with others if you can. Lots of folks are struggling to build OpenAM on forgerock.org forums
12:21 FireBurn|Work I think I need everything in .m2/repository/org/forgerock/openam/javadoc-utils/1.0.0
12:22 FireBurn|Work I'll see about uploading my .m2 somewhere - it's currently about 5GB compressed xz
12:23 aldaris sharing the JAR is a bit more problematic
12:24 FireBurn|Work Are you looking for a place to put it? Or are you worried about licencing?
12:25 aldaris either and both :)
12:25 aldaris https://www.dropbox.com/s/tfiu4662hs1fc2v/javadoc-utils-1.0.0.jar?dl=0
12:33 FireBurn|Work That's great thanks
12:34 FireBurn|Work Turns out I can't build it with java8 with javadocs turned on - le sigh
12:34 aldaris you need to disable linting
12:43 FireBurn|Work How do I do that?

15:12 FireBurn|Work I've updated https://forgerock.org/topic/maven-forgerock-org-problem/#post-16583 with details on now to get the missing poms
15:22 jjpp hm, MegaMatt (as aldaris has just left) -- is the revoke of maven repo access related to some copyright issue (e.g. some library that you don't have right to redistribute as such or something to that effect) that could come and bite FireBurn as well?
15:50 MegaMatt I think it’s related to the announcements that will be made on Monday, so maybe can be discussed further after that
15:50 MegaMatt But I think if you are a customer, you always had access to maven — and even now you still do.. Is that your experience too?
16:07 jjpp I am not a customer, sadly. Nor is my client. (They did try once to become one, a few years ago but it ended when FR sales wanted to escalate it to CEO level, for some reason. Or that is how i understood it then).
16:08 MegaMatt Right right, ok..
16:09 jjpp The client was in a bit of a restructuring itself soon after, so it might partly be because of that as well. And now (last autumn) their architect for SSO solution was replaced with someone who "does not get OpenAM" and is afraid of that.
16:11 jjpp So I am not sure if there will be much of the joint future for me and OpenAM.. lacking communication from FR does not help either, of course.
16:11 jjpp but okay, I'll wait for monday >(
16:11 jjpp :)

22:33 Procule @aldaris: I just want to add a new class and attribute to a user entry
22:33 aldaris then define your attribute using a temporary OID
22:34 Procule I just have to generate one and use it for the schema ?
22:34 aldaris as long as you are certain that your OID does not clash with any other existing OID, yes
22:35 aldaris the temporary OID would be something like "givenname-oid"
22:41 Procule ok thanks ! I was wondering since I was pretty sure I could not use an unused one below the forgerock entreprise oid.
23:12 Procule I have sent an application for a private enterprise OID with IANA. That will be useful.
