10:48 UB091 Hey all :) I am trying to remove all but the 5 latest added points of a ofPolyline. I tested, 'line.points.clear();', but it gives the error that I cannot access private member declared in class ofPolyline. I also found this contribution on the of forum: http://forum.openframeworks.cc/t/ofpolyline-how-to-remove-a-vertex/9086, but it appears that this was never implemented? At least I am unable to find it.. thank you so much f

17:03 pepper_chico hello guys
17:04 pepper_chico I just cloned openFrameworks from github, I'm on Ubuntu 13.04
17:04 pepper_chico I installed dependencies and built projectGenerator
17:04 pepper_chico how do I generate makefiles for all examples
17:05 pepper_chico so I can use the buildAllExamples.sh script?
17:05 pepper_chico I get an error running it, it seems makefiles for examples are missing
17:05 pepper_chico and I couldn't look up how to generate makefiles for all of the examples
17:06 pepper_chico by the way, projectGenerator crashes when I click to set a different path for a project
17:15 jedahan can you post the output of ./buildAllExamples.sh pepper_chico ? in a pastebin or gist.github.com ?
17:21 pepper_chico jedahan: hi, sorry, I have just checkout the stable branch... because I'm thinking there's something unstable with the projectGenerator
17:22 pepper_chico and there's no buildAllExamples.sh now =/
17:22 pepper_chico in the stable branch

20:33 pepper_chico hi, I'm back
20:33 pepper_chico in the stable branch, on Ubuntu 13.04, projectGenerator is a bit more stable
20:34 muralia left #openframeworks
20:34 pepper_chico I still get some crashes clicking for choosing a project directory
20:34 pepper_chico but I'm able to get it working
20:34 pizthewiz pepper_chico: I filed this issue asking for better documentation / instructions on example project files/makefiles: https://github.com/openframeworks/openFrameworks/issues/2958
20:34 pizthewiz It has come up quite a few times…
20:34 pepper_chico ah, ok, thank you
20:35 pizthewiz Sounds as though you are hitting other issues now though?
20:35 pepper_chico do you have ubuntu?
20:35 pizthewiz Feel free to give a shout in that issue if that sounds about right for you
20:35 pizthewiz Hmm, I'm using Raspbian Weezy on a Raspberry Pi
20:36 pepper_chico yes, when I was in master, trying to select a project directory always has end up in crashing or worse, once I got the system frozen and had to reboot
20:36 pizthewiz Nasty…
20:37 pizthewiz You might try posting to the forum, ofZach works on the Project Generator and might have better suggestions
20:37 pepper_chico now on stable, it still crashes if I start the app and go straight select a directory, but if I click first for project name, and then click for project directory, it doesn't crash
20:38 pepper_chico ok, are you a developer? I was thinking why not use something like cmake for build system, my only explanation is the age of OF
20:38 pepper_chico system cmake is more adopted now than before
20:39 pepper_chico e.g. I really don't care about codeblocks et al, I'm going to develop in vim, so I'm only interested in the makefiles by now
20:40 pepper_chico s/system/since/
20:41 pizthewiz I created my own project template with Xcode and makefiles and just start projects from that and skip the Project Generator entirely
20:42 pepper_chico hmm, I think I'm going that route too
20:43 pizthewiz It can make integrating addons more of a challenge, but with the makefiles it is super easy
20:43 pepper_chico only thing is that, I'd like the makefiles for the examples, I think I'm gonna grab them from a release and copy to my repo
20:43 pizthewiz Yup, that is exactly what I do
20:44 pizthewiz Pretty much the only reason I grab a binary release in fact
20:44 pepper_chico thanks for the help
20:44 pizthewiz I could have sworn that someone said there was a script the team uses when building a binary release, if that were made available in the repo that would be great
20:45 pepper_chico imo, it would be great to have build around cmake, since it's very good for IDE project generation and raw makefiles
20:45 pepper_chico sure
20:46 pizthewiz There has been some work on the whole make system, but I think that is more building the lib and existing projects opposed to generating meta files
20:46 pizthewiz There are a few issues in GitHub that call out what they are working on over there
20:47 pepper_chico ok
