19:30 pizthewiz Yeah I'm with you there, early on I was really struggling with some of the dependency/refresh/bang stuff
19:40 dang`r`us I've clung to QC till now but apple's own video player is blocking the render thread while loading videos (unacceptable) and v002video does not work anymore in current osx/qc
19:54 pizthewiz Yeah, it seems like everyone except Facebook and IDEO has started moving away from QC

19:56 GuidovanPossum I was looking forward to trying it, but was going to wait for the free release later this month, which will still be last years version
19:56 pizthewiz That's bizarre, it has changed quite a bit since it was originally released.
19:57 pizthewiz I don't really understand how the commnity will be able to handle that - you get the paid people talking about new workflows, features and fixes and the free people working in the past…
19:58 GuidovanPossum yeah, it will be a bit strange, kind of seems harder to contribute to the current if you're living in the past

20:21 pizthewiz Yeah the editor is a Qt application so in theory it should be pretty portable, I think they were just trying to make it robust enough on a single platform before they began to branch out.
